Terrible refrigerator

Please don’t buy. Our compressor went out and they replaced it twice in 3 years. The first time they replaced it after 24 hrs it was smoking out of the frig with a burning smell. Also LG service people they contract out is rude and took advantage of my mom who’s blind and forced her to sign a disclosure with a thumb print on their phone. We fear for our lives everyday. Keep in mind I have kids, a disabled mother who is blind and two loving dogs. Please reconsider other frig before purchasing an LG. We are seeking legal advice for the fact that LG has a class action lawsuit in progress.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst appliance purchase EVER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had been a great fan of LG products for many years, as my profile shows. Everything from mobile phones to TVs to dishwashers, range/ovens and microwaves have been fine. Have owned this fridge for around 2 1/2 years and it is a disaster. Within the first 120 days or so, the compressor died and needed to be replaced. The freezer malfunctioned, needing multiple repairs. The ice maker is the biggest joke of all. After multiple repair attempts - and total replacement by the approved service organization - LG's Home Office could only suggest that the water pressure be severely lowered in hopes that this would lessen the severity of the problem. Honestly...that's what the service reps and I were told! We've gotten along for almost two years now without ice, having given up on that situation ever being fixed. Yesterday, we opened the freezer to discover that everything in it was in the process of melting because it is malfunctioning. I realize that these appliances are now manufactured with the expectation on a 10 to 12 years average life span, but this product is ridiculous. We will be replacing it soon because our patience is at an end. Sadly, I can no longer recommend LG appliances to our many friends who inquire from time to time about which products we personally endorse. Whoever designed/engineered/manufactured the LG line of refrigerators really should be in another line of work. Thoroughly disappointed in this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this refrigerator for 11 months now and absolutely love it! The features are easy to use, it looks great and with the small door on the front, very energy efficient.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been very happy with our LG refrigerator. Not only does it have plenty of freezer space between the top and lower drawers, but it also has more than enough room within the refrigerator. The front compartment within the right door has plenty of space for the widely used condiments, while the interior compartment is wide and deep enough to hold plenty of food. We have yet to use the ice maker and are anxious to do so in the near future. Although, I was bummed to see our refrigerator and freezer stop cooling after only a little more than 3 years of use. We're actively working with LGs customer support team to remedy the issues.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this over a month ago and are very happy with it. Purchased through Sam’s Club and received within 2 weeks, earlier than originally promised. Installation was smooth and quick. The refrigerator is nice and large. I love the third produce drawer, so I can separate citrus from other fruit and love the second ice maker in the freezer. I wasn’t that interested in the “door-in-door”, but have found it very useful for drinks and condiments that we use often. in addition, I’ve found the refrigerator to be extremely quiet. The front dispense for ice and water works perfectly. A little concerned about the temperature difference between the setting and the actual temperature on the inside, but it seems to be OK for now.

Another in a list of failures

I bought our LFXS29766S in June of 2017. Little did we know that there was a Class Action Lawsuit going on regarding its reliability. Now our compressor has failed and the technician is saying the parts are back ordered. It's been a week now and I'm reading horror stories about bad replacement parts, lack of response, and being out for over a month before just buying a new fridge to cut your loss.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a refrigerator that was continually freezing up. Our new refrigerator appears to be working flawlessly. There are specific features that helped us decide on this model. We enjoy the extra access from the front door without opening the whole door and the extra ice maker in the freezer.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance
I will be 76 next month. I’ve had a lot of refrigerators over the years and our LG refrigerator is the best ever! The thoughtfulness in the design and convenience is beyond compare! The ice maker actually works without chips landing on the floor and ice dispensing like a slot machine paying off. The water spout is so easy and mess free and I am able to fill pitchers without a separate container to transfer water from the refrigerator to the pitcher. I love my LG refrigerator!
