I no longer own this refrigerator. Are you kidding me? It was replaced by a new LG French DoorRefrigerator on 11/25, just last week. The model you are asking about was a lemon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the lay out of the frig with the long slide out shelf for quick access. Had trouble with this model with several service calls. Now when we leave for extended time we don’t shut it down completely. Working well with this.

Compressor died at 6 yers

I like this refrigerator. Unfortunately the compressor just died. I bought it in May 2019. I had expected it to live a longer life.

Bought Fall 2016 and it stopped cooling last week

Been a great refrigerator up until now. We couldn’t figure out why our food defrosted in the freezer and we lost hundreds of dollars of food. We purchased a thermistor since it threw a 22 code. Waiting to see what happens. Reading it may be a compressor. Too much $$ buying it and then to have spend more in repairs is not a good way to build a customer base! We have nothing but LG appliances in our home and been loyal customers. If this fridge turns out yo be a compressor issue, we will not buy LG again. Do better LG!

Compressor failure - beware!

Bought this fridge in 2018. Since then, we have had to replace the compressor TWICE. The first was fortunately covered under their class-action lawsuit and we didn't need to pay, but we did lose an entire fridge and freezer's worth of food. The second was this last week (Nov. 2025) and we DID have to pay. We barely got four years out of the replacement, since the first repair was in 2021. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. I certainly hope we get more time out of this new compressor. When the fridge works, it's great. When the compressor fails, it's awful.
