[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had our LG 29 cu ft frig for 2 weeks but we already love it, especially the door-in-door aspect. Very easy to access those often-used items like milk, bottled water, and snack foods. Never thought the door-in-door would be as useful as it is.

Do Not Buy!!!

I bought this refrigerator 3 years ago. The compressor went out, which was covered under warranty. I’ve been sitting around waiting for this to be fixed for a month now. Customer service offered to pay for some of the ruined food. I told them that I don’t want a hand out, I wanted a working refrigerator. They said that there was nothing they could do. We called them (contracted repair place and LG) multiple times after being rescheduled, with the excuse that “Sometimes repairs take longer than expected”.
Additionally the tech that came to look at the refrigerator told me that I should wait for a week to put food in it, because the compressors are finnicky.
If you plan to buy from LG, make sure there is more than 1 service tech in the surrounding 100 miles, and having a back up refrigerator is a necessity. LG doesn’t stand behind their products or their warranty work, I recommend you do not either.

The Worst Refrigerator

This refrigerator failed exactly a year and one month after we bought it. Unfortunately we did not buy the warranty to it. We were able to get it fixed by getting a new compressor for it, but exactly 2 months later we had the same problem. Once again we got it fixed. One year later we had the same issue not to mention that through out the whole year we had days in which it just didn't work. I am so disappointed at LG. Our friends who have the same model had the same issue, and as we were at Best Buys buying another refrigerator there was another couple who had the same issues with the same LG refrigerator as we did. We will never buy their products again.

Nice fridge when it works

I bought this refrigerator June of 2016 and it was great until June of 2019 when it decided to not get cold for 2 days. I lost hundreds of dollar in groceries and spent hours cleaning up the mess from all the melted ice and thawed frozen product. It took almost 2 weeks to get a service repair tech sent out. How are families supposed to function day-to-day without a refrigerator for 2 weeks??!! Well, after 2 days of not working the refrigerator began to function normally. So by the time the repair tech came to the house there was nothing to fix. They even reviewed the diagnostic logs and nothing. How can this thing not work for 2 days and there be no trace of what happened??!! So here we are September of 2019, 4 month later, and the same thing has happened. Once again I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and it will take 2-3 weeks to get a repair tech to my house. Simply unacceptable LG! People cannot go for weeks without the ability to keep food in their homes. I have kids that go to school and play sports and I cannot even fill a sports bottle with ice water or make their lunches for school! My only option is to sit and wait weeks for someone to come fix my refrigerator and hope that it doesn't magically decide to start working again before the repair person shows up. I will never buy another LG product ever again and hope this review steers people away from making the same mistake that I did.

The compressor went out at just over 2 years. This is not acceptable!!! The service tech informed us this is common for LG. So why have you not recalled this unit? Compressor changed out and fridge was fine for a day, just long enough to stock it with new food, since we lost a fridge full of food the first time. Then the evaporator goes out. We had to remove our food out again. I would not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. I should be getting a new fridge with a $500.00 gift card to replace the groceries lost!!!

Refrigerator has been fine. Freezer is junk

I had a service warranty so I had it replaced each time. The drawer is broke again and extra warranty is up also the thing wont quit making extra ice unless I turn the ice off all together. going to replace as soon as possiable worst refrigerator I have ever owned.
