[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model 6 years ago and loved the features and all the room. That refrigerator lasted two years before it had to be replaced due to unfixable issues. The second one of this model lasted me 3 years. I am now faced with replacement of compressor, condensor, and other parts. I would say the failure of the first refrigerator was random, but after the second its clear that there are major reliability issues with this now discontinued model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this refrigerator because of the good reviews and the 10 year compressor warranty-not owned 5 years and compressor failed and it took a month for LG to get a repair man to fix that was in March of 2023 in June the refrigerator compressor has gone out again and I have talked to someone from June 24 until July 20 and haven’t gotten refrigerator fixed or a repairman to come out and look at it -WILL NOT RECOMMEND A REFRIGERATOR FROM LG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had three compressors put in the refrigerator as well as other parts. We have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. We have had to live without a refrigerator for 10-12 days at a time. Very hard to clean shelf on the main area as it does not lift out easily. Design , we feel is flawed.

Already two times changed compressor. Third year and sixth year. Recently, main board also changed, still not working. Fighting with American Home shield to get a new one. But no more LG refrigerator.

I bought this For its features and have been very happy until now. We had to replace the compressor on the fridge. It was very expensive to do this. We have other LG products , Dishwasher, and tvs. Our daughter bought the same fridge because of our recommendation, but now she’s upset that this problem may happen to her. I hope we win the 500.00 which would partially cover our repairs. Thank you.

I bought this LG 29 cu feet refrigerator unit several years ago for my vacation house because it had all the features I wanted: Door in Door, two ice makers, a water filter, big lower freezer and more. For about 8 years it worked like a charm and was great in all respects. Then suddenly it stopped cooling and I found the compressor went bad... Oh No, I thought until I checked the warranty which said that unit and that compressor part was covered for ten years. With several calls to LG and finding a local repair person we got an OK to get the repair done with just my paying the labor, all parts were covered. I now will have it back in shape and expect I can get another 10+ years with the new updated, heavy duty compressor installed. People in customer service were sometimes busy but always helpful and nice to work with. We have other LG products and all are best in class!
This Refrigerator has provided very poor service. It is presently out of service due to another failed compressor. This is the third failure of the compressor. I am requesting a replacement due to the refrigerator being defective!!
