[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My refrigerator will be 3 years old this September 2019. Within the first year the icemaker broke and does not dispense ice anymore. Now it is making a very loud noise that sounds like a lawnmower. I purchased an LG dishwasher 2 years ago and the door will not close and it sometimes doesn't come on. I am getting ready to do my kitchen over and was thinking of buying the LG stove and microwave to match with the refrigerator and dishwasher, however, the products doesn't last long enough for me to make another investment into an LG product. I also purchased the LG washer and dryer 1.5 years ago. I'm praying that they hold up better than the refrigerator and dishwasher. LG products look good but are not made to last.

Some noises may be heard during normal operation of a refrigerator. Some models may make unfamiliar sounds like a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. Hard surfaces, such as vinyl or wood floors, walls or kitchen cabinets may amplify sounds. IT ONLY LASTED 2 YEARS!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my refrigerator end of 2015, in march 2018 I was filing my first claim, the compressor stopped working. I would have never thought that being a recognizable brand like LG, it was only going to last only 2 years. They replaced the compressor, but now August 2020, it broke again! I am out of the protection insurance so I now have to call LG to have it replaced, which is not the easiest thing to do, they take loong time to send a repair specialist and on top of that no coverage for spoiled food, and the nightmare to be withouth a fridge for 10+ days!!! I am disappointed of the LG brand already.

Poor design on compressor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The linear compressor is poorly built. I have had the compressor replaced twice in 4 years. LG does have a long warranty period on the compressor but having to wait for replacement without an operational fridge has been a really big inconvienience.

I bought this product 4 years ago and the compressor has already failed. I am having a difficult time getting a service technician out to my home. It has been a week and no one showed up at the appointed time nor did anyone call me to let me know about any delay. I have bought ice every day to try and save some food and my husband's insulin. I am very disappointed in this product's performance and the lack of service provided.

Had to replace our refrigerator within first few years due to the coolant issue that is apparently well known with LG refrigerators. Do a google search on the issue before buying these products. I wish we knew before.

ZERO STARS if it would let me. Stopped working 3 days ago. Still under warranty and extended warranty. But LG DOES NOT CARE! ALL I’M GETTING IS A RUN-AROUND. They can’t get anyone to service it. And don’t care if I have a refrigerator. They have my money and are, now, flipping me the bird. I’m already 3 days into waiting. I called right away. Was told it will take 3 - 7 days. 3 days later I get an email saying my service is cancelled. I called again got put on hold, followed by a half hour of run-around, transferred, then the hung up on. It’s 90+ degrees here and me with my UNtrustworthy LG . I loved this refrigerator until it failed!
