One week, so far Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The air purifier is nice, it always smells pleasant, even if we have a can of cat food covered with aluminum foil. on one of the shelves. The door in door feature takes some getting used to, as we are sttill forgetting it;s there until the second try. One thing that could be a con is the ice dispenser and water dispenser locations are switched. So, there is a light for the ice, but if you use a dark glass or pitcher, the light behind it doesn't illuminate the water level. Not a con to us, just wish there was an additional light when getting water. Very user friendly. The ice maker in the door makes for more room in the fridge, and it makes plenty of ice.

Great but Icemaker issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great refrigerator. New technology is extensive, from the low energy led’s to the compressor to the general design. Overall I am enjoying the refrigerator and I am sure glad I chose the model with the dual ice maker. There is an issue with the top ice maker which I will try to describe. After a few days, you will notice puddles of water on top of the freezer door. Around that time, the top freezer stops dispensing ice and may even not have any movement, just a hum when you try to dispense. The problem is some kind of a water leak in the icemaker. It causes the ice (right side) in the icemaker to become a solid block, clog the chute so nothing dispenses. Ice forms around the inner icemaker door seal, thaws and drips on the freezer door. After turning it off, the block inside of the ice collector inside the ice maker thaws enough within a few days so that it can be removed. Further thawing in the sink eventually gets rid of the ice within. I’ve not used this icemaker in months because of this issue and I know a friend who does not have a dual icemaker and had to buy a free standing ice maker. This is an issue that needs to be addressed..

Piece of Junk

This refrigerator was purchased less than three years ago and suddenly quit cooling. Customer support originally said the compressor failed and needed to be replaced, however it had to be ordered and took about two weeks prior to the part showing up. The Compressor didnt fix the problem and its been the better part of a month going round and round with thiscompany that will not stand by its product nor does it feel compelled to stand by the warranty. The last straw was today the A&E service team hired by LG was scheduled to be at my home tommorow, however they have now cancelled and decided to reschedule, last time they just didnt show up. I have called LG and they seem to think its not there problem nor do they enjoy dealing with an upset customer so they just hang up. I have asked to speak to management, but have been hung up on every time. This company is useless, their product is junk and they have no intentions of standing by their pathetic products. For those of you who may believe Im just venting you may want to read all of the reviews of their products and the failure rates of their liner compressors and cooling systems. I will never by anything LG or recommend to anyone!!!!! Complete Horror story dealing with these people

Linear Compressor

The compressor in the unit is not a good product mine stop working in under 3 years. I purchased my refrigerator 07/16/2016 and now it needs a new compressor.

I love this refrigerator!

The most important feature to me is the door configuration. You can keep the items you use most often easy to reach. The huge space created by the French door allows you to really see what is in the refrigerator. You do not lose the leftovers in the back which happens in a double door.
I was very concerned about the size of the ice maker but I just keep the extra in the freezer compartment and all is great.
The exterior is hard to clean though.
