The door in door is in fact a great addition and keeps things as cold as anywhere else in the fridge- I was concerned about that but no problem. Nor is there any noise or humming from the fridge, so that's not an issue either, as a couple of users stated. The freezer is deep but there is a handy pullout door on top of the freezer department that doesn't require reaching in and is a smart addition. The water and icemaker work fine, there is no splashing of ice or water, and the shelf area for placing your cup or glass is conveniently large.

You do hear the ice drop in the second ice bend but not a big deal I heard my ice drop in my old refrigerator. There is plenty of room for everything we have plus some.

And the dual ice-maker keeps us well-stocked when family and friends stop by needing lots of ice in the hot summer of Florida! Love the interior shelf and drawer designs and lots of room too!

Love the two ice makers...Lots of ice

I previously had a GE refrigerator with double doors and bottom freezer and I really liked the capacity it had; so, I was looking for a refrigerator with the same set up. However, the ice maker in the GE never worked right and finally the whole dispenser system quit, so no more GEs for us. Our daugther-in-law has all LG appliances in her house and swears by them. So this LG has the features I was looking for and two ice makers. I have had the new refrigerator for a month and my husband likes the door-in-a-door feature. I can take it or leave it as it reduces the storage capacity a little bit. But I love having two ice makers. I have not run out of ice yet. Looking forward to Christmas when the whole family is here. No more trips to buy ice and having a cooler for the ice in the kitchen floor.
