[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fridge 4 years ago and love it. Last week the fridge and freezer stopped working. After some research on the internet I found out there was a civil action lawsuit against LG for different fridges from the year we bought ours. Our fridge was included in the lawsuit. I called LG and they were awesome in helping setting up the repair and not charge us anything for the repair. The repair guy (Brian) showed up on time and fixed the fridge within the hour. The fridge is up and running again with no issues. I just hope it continues to stay that way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator in 2017 and have had nothing but trouble. Every plastic wheel and “moving” part inside the fridge has broken. We aren’t tough on it and every time I clean out the fridge I pull out tiny little pieces of plastic all over. We have had to replace plastic drawers, bins, etc. It makes ice but we’ve had trouble with it from the beginning. Comes out in huge chunks/blocks of ice- not cubes. The condenser went out- thankfully that was covered by warranty. They sure don’t make things like they used to- this fridge was very cheaply made!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought the set of appliances for our kitchen. Figured LG would be a great option. So far we have had the condenser go out on us twice and require replaced. We had to replace the contents of our fridge and freezer both times and live out of an ice chest during the the time. I am hoping the second time will stick it's passed the year mark but I am not going to hold my breath and have already looked around for ideas once it does give out again. The fridge lay out is fine and can be customized to the level of shelves you need. The freezer is a bit tight and if anything falls behind the shelf good luck getting it out easy. You have to empty the entire top shelf to gain access to the back. This has happened quite a bit when something gets caught on the bottom shelf from kids putting stuff in. The ice picks when it will work correctly in the bottom freezer drawer. It will either over produce and then freeze into one solid block that we have to dump or it will take forever to produce anything and we run out of ice. Over all not a happy experience. On top of that we are already getting issues with two more appliances from the set and finally had to fully replace one that went out a week ago. We will definitly not be buying LG kitchen appliaces again.

I loved the organization of the fridge, which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, the entire thing died 5.5 yrs after I bought it and it's not fixable. The repair company told me that LG compressors don't last more than 5-6 years due to how they're designed. I won't be buying another LG fridge anytime soon.
