[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had this refrigerator for 3 years. We love the in-door ice maker, air filter, and door in door. The air filter really eliminates odors. The door-in-door is very convenient for accessing beverages. We miss having a place to store gallon size bottles. The inside of the door in door opens too easily if it contacts another item inside the fridge. The compressor failed at about the 42 month mark. Customer service was out quickly. This is a known problem and should have had a proactive campaign to replace.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator 3 years ago when we bought the house. It has been an absolute great appliance with no problems. For some reason the compressor failed; but when we called we were handled professionally and arrangements were made to send out a repairman as soon as possible. The tech came and was highly qualified, and identified the problem and repaired it on the spot. We are very pleased with LG products and also have an LG washer/dryer set as well.

There is a cover of some sort over the control panel that was not sealed enough, so moisture got underneath and has stained the bottom portion, but the panel still works fine. Love the door-in-door for the frequently used items. There was a compressor issue, but it has been repaired and is working fine.

I didn’t even realize it came with a 5 year warranty. They said they would send a service man to check it out. He came, replaced the bad compressor, and working great now.
