[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it in 2016. Worked fine until last month and then compressor failed. No support to get it fixed ( still under warranty) in home. Had to take it repair place 1 hour away myself. What a mess. Next week i have to go back and get it back. The “self diagnostics “ is a failure. That indicated it was fine even though it would not cool. It was a good, quiet unit. Probably would not do that again. The doors are too deep and it is hard to get things in or out without opening both.

Two years later the thermostat goes out and freezes all the items in the refrigerator. Ive never had this much trouble from an appliance before.

We finally chose to upgrade to this LG model and couldn't be happier. There were a couple of features that we were indifferent to at first but have come to really appreciate them over time.
1. The door-in-door: It's great to keep the items we grab often here so we aren't having to open the entire fridge to access them. I have to believe it is saving on energy as it is not letting out the same amount of cold air when we do so.
2. The second ice-maker in the freezer. Great for when you need to grab a large quantity of ice.

Apparently this LG frig model had bad compressors in 2017 & 2018. After losing a lot of food while on vacation, (after our son discovered the frig was not working while checking our home), we had the compressor replaced. The LG repairman did a very good job and was very courteous and prompt. Thankful we were able to get it fixed.
