Unreliable. I had to purchase a new refridgerator after the second repair effort. Would not recommend. The air filter is almost impossible to remove and replace. The door shelves are continually breaking because the doors slam shut too easily.

No problems til that. Was happy LG would pay for the compressor but did not pay the costly labor. Hard decision to fix or buy a new one. Time will tell. Works great again but since I have a 20 year old refrigerator of a different brand I will think twice about LG for my next purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a great addition to our kitchen. We love that it has the ice maker in the door and a second one in the freezer. Having the filtered water in the door has replaced us having a filtered pitcher taking up space. We thought we would get more use out of the door-in-door feature but I imagine someone with smaller children would get some benefit.
The compressor went out after a couple of years and the customer service was amazing. They got someone out within a couple of days and covered the cost under the warranty. It was this service experience that prompted me to replace our washer and dryer with LG as well
