Loved all my LG appliances. Our house is full of them. Loved them until my 3-4 door refrigerator’s compressor died. Even though it was under warranty the time it took to fix it, and as yet to receive compensation for all the food lost has not been reasonable for a super brand like LG. Two stars is generous for all the stress this has caused.

Overall, a good Refrigerator with some weird issue

Overall, a good Refrigerator with some weird issues however it has some computer control issues that cause it to not cool which requires a reboot by unplugging the refrigerator for two minutes and plugging it back in when it gets stuck in the defrost cycle. When we notice the issue, it seems like the ice in the bottom ice maker has turned to liquid or is completely stuck together requires us to dump all the ice. We have had this issue about 10 times over 5 years and only once had to throw a lot of food out. LG came out and replaced the compressor which solved the issue, but we have still had a couple of issues here and there since the replacement. I wish they had some logic to alert you what cycle it is in or if it gets stuck in a certain cycle while running. Also another thing that would be nice is that the temperature setting on the front of the fridge actually tells you what the temperature is and not what it is supposed to be. My kids have left the door slightly open, and you have no idea unless you catch it because it is not open enough to trigger to audible alarm but is open enough to cause the food not to be at the right temperature.

I purchased a home with this fridge already in it, in less than a year it needed replacing. Keep in mind I live alone so this was not due to over use or negligence. The product looks great but is poor quality and NO ONE WANTS TO FIX IT! That will be the biggest headache. TECHS HATE LG!.

We hate to hear this and will be happy to pass your feedback along. ^Sandy
I’ve had this refrigerator 7 years. I like the drawer, the adjustable shelves and two ice makers. This fridge has needed repairs 3 times in 7 years. It is very difficult to find repairmen for LG Appliances. I called 18 then had to go through LG customer service to find one. I would never recommend an LG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for 5 years and have had to have a repairman come out every 18 months to repair it because it quits working and I lose everything in my freezer. Beginning when I had it for 6 months. Love the door in door feature.

I had this refrigerator for 8 years. The compressor died, LG said they would send a free compressor to the repair person, but no-one in my area can work on a closed system and are unable to get the necessary refrigerant.
