Poor quality - doesn't last

I owned this refrigerator for less than 3 years before it failed. Doesn't keep food cold or frozen. Everything melted and leaked. Don't recommend this refrigerator or LG. Their washer that I owned only lasted about 3 yrs also.

Very Disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about 4 years ago & relatively happy with it at first.
About a year ago, the ice maker or something in that area started leaking & freezing my ice container into place. So for about a year, I have been babying it all this time because I couldn't afford a big service bill. I thought I should try to replace the ice maker but I just read another reviewer with my same issue. He replaced his ice maker & it didn't fix the problem. So glad I didn't waste money to replace mine!
Now the door on the right side seems not to be closing all the way. When you look at the fridge from the side, you can see it's uneven. We have tried everything to fix it but nothing has worked so far. It's rather odd the way the doors close so I guess I shouldn't be surprised I have a problem now.
I bought the LG because I thought they were reliable. I guess I was wrong!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the refrigerator for 3.5 years. It's been great. Dual ice makers is why we bought it, but the in door performs so well, we don't even use the lower much. Only 4 stars since the compressor failed recently. LG service was exceptional and replaced the compress, etc. quickly for no charge. Back up and running perfectly. I think there is a known compressor bug in our unit, but with the way LG handled it, I would but LG again. They owned the issue properly.

3 repairs later????

We had ours less and 1 1/2yrs and 3 repair men out in last month and was told today it would probably break again!! 2 brand new compressor now and numerous other parts!! Very frustrating!!

Worked Great to start...but Freon leaked 3 yrs in

Was a great refrigerator - went with a more elaborate model to hopefully have it last and serve as a showcase for our kitchen. Unfortunately it gave out only 3 yrs into service - Freon leak. Huge hassle on parts and given the leak is hard to trace can’t count on it not happening again soon. Unacceptable for so young a fridge. Will Not buy LG again.

Died with less than 4 years of use

Refrigerator came with a new house in the fall of 2016. Through-door ice maker worked well for about 2 years then off and on after that. Entire refrigerator died a few days ago before reaching 4 years in service.
