Don’t last as long

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second LG fridge. They do not seem to last as long as promised. I was told the compressor lasts 10 years. They seem to suddenly stop working.

I bought my refrigerator 5 years ago. The first five years I liked it a lot. 2 months ago the cooling system stopped working and LG has yet to send a repairman or a replacement refrigerator.

Not a reliable product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator four years ago. Replaced the compressor 2 years later and then the next year the icemaker broke. Water started spraying out of the water dispenser with nobody around luckily we were home and found it fast. Last year the icemaker broke and now it doesn't cool at all. This fridge has been nothing but a headache.

Poor quality

About all I can say about this refrigerator is it looks good and I like the french doors. Compressor went out took forever to get repaired. 21 days without fridge...lost food in freezer....It runs all the time. Stops running every time when door is open....this has to be bad on compressor. Looks and size are great.

Watch Out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 4 years ago. Thank goodness we bought the 5 yr extended warranty! The refrigerator itself is great, when it's working. I love having the two icemakers, because we really use a lot of ice in the summer. However, this refrigerator has had to have repairs on 4 separate occasions. The refrigerator just randomly stops cooling all of a sudden. The first time they replaced the compressor and the drier. The second time they replaced the drier and the motherboard. The third time they replaced the compressor again, and the fourth time they replaced the compressor and did a software update. If I hadn't bought the 5 year warranty I would have spent a lot on repairs. The first and second repairman who came told me that these LG refrigerators have bad compressors and they always break down, great! Once my extended warranty expires, if it breaks down again, I'm buying a different refrigerator and believe me, it will not be an LG!
