However, LG stood behind their product did the necessary repairs, then I heard that they discontinued this specific model and replace it with a new one. Good move.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been reliable up until a week ago when we had very hot weather and it stopped cooling. It turned out to be the compressor which was still under warranty so was replaced for free.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compressor on this LG stops working every few years! Now we are out of warranty and have to pay from our pockets!! This is a faulty product. We have had to throw out all our food twice because of the compressor breaking every few years.

I purchased this in 2016. Broke down the first year of purchased. They fixed it. It has since had parts to break and stop working repeatedly. Have had 6 repairs with in the last year alone. Ice/water, cooling fan, coils. Also, shelves and glass separator.
