[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My LG refrigerator is beautiful on the outside and the inside. However, reliability is poor. The linear compressor failed in less than 3 years and that ruined over $200 worth of perfectly good food just before Christmas. I waited almost a month to get it fixed under warranty.

Barely a year later, it went out again. Compressor was replaced again and it lasted less than 24 hours. We are now waiting for another repair.

So not reliable!

I purchased this refrigerator in April of 2016. It is now, February of 2022, not even 6 years, and this refrigerator is not working. Based on what I can tell, it seems the compressor has failed! Heck the ice maker in the door stopped working a while ago as well. Even when we first got it, we had issues with the ice maker because the water was spraying over and freezing solid! Nothing but issues!
This is the 3rd LG product that I have had to replace in the last year! I had to replace a 3 year old over-the-range microwave and an older dryer. At least the dryer lasted a good long time because it was made back in the day when companies manufactured quality appliances that were meant to last. Today, the appliances are almost considered throw-away items that have a lifespan of a couple of years. The cost to repair them is almost as much as purchasing a new appliance.
I am deeply disappointed in LG! I have an LG Dishwasher that I am just counting the days until that goes up. It already makes a horrible smell when it's running. The last repair guy said that it's just the way it was made.
I can't recommend LG to anyone! Actually, I don't understand any of the good reviews unless they are only talking about when it works and not how long it's going to last!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 3 years ago. One year later the compressor went out. A year and a half later the compressor went out again. LG has been good about fixing it but it is hard to accept replacing all the spoiled food every year or so. I would not purchase an LG product again.
