Dying after only 2 years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge and freezer is set to the coldest settings but ice cream in the freezer is like soup and fridge is not nearly cold enough. Both ice makes have stopped functioning as well. Tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps in the manual. I see now that these LG fridges have this as a common problem after 2-3 years and it's hard to find someone to repair it. Very disappointing for an appliance that costs this much! Will never buy another LG fridge and it's a shame because it's a great fridge when it works.

Ice maker broken after 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very surprised to see water all over the kitchen floor and discover it's from the broken ice tray, no new tray available and the whole unit needs to be replaced.

I too would be baffled at the thought of only having the unit for 2 years and then an unexpected malfunction results to water being dispersed all over the kitchen floor due to a broken tray. Wow! My LG LFXS29626S French Door fridge just stopped cooling last night. Bought 11/13/2014 and it now is 04/03/2019. Little over 4 years old and it's busted. Really? 4 years? This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE for a $2,300.00 fridge. LUCKILY I had a 5 yr warranty through the store I bought it along with the 10 year warranty. Knowing what I know now, I WILL NEVER by another LG product. Lesson learned the hard way. Will be voicing this info everywhere.

DO NOT waste your money!

We purchased a package of LG appliances in Aug 2016 from a large hardware store chain. Also purchased the protection plan at the time of purchase. Loved this fridge up until 12 days ago when the compressor failed. Between dealing with LG and the 3rd party repair companies (ASAP solutions and A&E appliance repair), this appliance has been a NIGHTMARE! Not even 3 years old and both the fridge and freezer is dead. We saw reviews but thought we'd still give them a chance. Save yourself time, headache and money. LG customer service is terrible as are the repair companies they deal with. This issue negates all things I loved about the refrigerator when we purchased it. Do NOT buy LG! Life is NOT GOOD 2 years and $2400 later!

Poor quality-slow repair service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this item in February 2016. Stopped cooling in May 2019. Compressor replacement did not resolve issue. Now waiting for a total of 3 weeks for a follow up repair visit as it was the soonest the 3rd party could fit us in. I'm not confident this next visit will resolve the issue since LG expected the last one would. It will likely be a diagnosis trip followed by another wait to receive parts. I like the style and function of the unit. However that means nothing if the refrigerator fails at it's basic purpose. The quality would steer me away from LG for future purchases.

Like the design and features, BUT.....

Fridge is now 35 months old. The compressor has been replaced once, 11 months ago. It's now just failed again and needs to be replaced. This fridge was expensive you would think it would have lasted 10 years, I can see why it's been discontinued.

Poor Quality

We bought this refrigerator three years ago and have had many problems. The compressor, lost $500 worth of groceries. Huge pain dealing with the insurance company who required form after form and never followed through. It literally took months to get everything resolved. Then we had another issue with about 6 months later. Do not buy this one. Not sure if I will buy LG again.
