6 years and already worn out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this refrigerator back in 2018. This morning it began to leak water from the in door ice maker, not because of the ice maker but the temp is no longer cooling. Yes I clean behind the fridge, including blowing out the coils. We’ve been LG fans of washers, dryers and refridgerators, but time to consider switching brands. We do not buy extended warranties as I am still a believer that manufacturers should be accountable by their brand to just make a good product.

Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that the LFXS29626S refrigerator is experiencing cooling issues and a water leak from the in-door ice maker. We appreciate your loyalty to LG products and want to assist you in resolving this issue.
First, we recommend checking the temperature settings to ensure they are correctly set. Sometimes, improper temperature settings can cause cooling problems and lead to leaks. If the temperature settings are correct, it may be helpful to inspect the water filter and ensure it is properly installed and not clogged.

OK but they break down quickly.

I have purchased two LG Refrigerators. The first one broke down approximately 30 days after the extended warranty had expired. I purchased the second one and the compressor went out at seven years. I was able to have it fixed under the extended warranty I purchased. I do like the two LG Refrigerators I have purchased, but I will probably purchase a different brand when my current one breaks again.

Compressor issues

It works great, except for the compressor. It's gone out twice in 7 years. I don't think I've ever had to replace one in other refrigerators I've had for many years.

Great features, poor compressor design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The features and quality of the fridge have been very good. The only problem was a failed compressor. Parts were covered under warranty, but not labor, which was an unfortunate expense for an otherwise good product.

Not especially happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first got the refrigerator I had to keep adjusting the temperature because it would freeze my vegetables. I threw away many packages of salad greens, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. because they froze & turned to mush. After finally reaching the temperature of 44 degrees, the vegetables were no longer freezing in the refrigerator. The refrigerator did well after that, until the compressor died in October. The refrigerator is only 7 years old and I expect the compressor to last much longer than 7 years. Of course it happened when we were out of town & we returned to a putrid, smelly mess in the refrigerator and freezer. So, I am not especially happy with this refrigerator.
