A total disappointment

This movie was a terrible disappoitment. The story took way to long to develop, only to leave you with a bad ending. The only reason I would recommend this movie to you, is if you wish to see all three of the Pirates of the Carribean movies.
What's great about it: The second part of the POTC story
What's not so great: the story took to long to develop
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

one very awesome sequel it rocks from begining to end it has one very seriously good storyline it is the best of the best

None of the sequels to 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' top it, but the action climax to 'Dead Man's Chest' is far beyond any in TCotBP. That alone is worth the price of admission, and in this format? It's outstanding.

Sequels aren't always better than the original...
Don't get me wrong, I love Pirates of the Carribean just as much as the rest of America, but seriously?
This film is long, boring and just some middle piece to At World's End...this film was just another attempt to make money because it just built up to what the final film would truly deliver.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I Fell Asleep...Again!

For all I care, they could have stopped making the 'Pirates of the Caribbean films' right here. Dismally disappointed with the first outing, I figured I'd give this sequel a try in hopes that it would far outdo its predecessor. Well, perhaps my expectations were aimed a little too high, but for whatever it's worth 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,' allowed for another pleasant nap throughout most of the picture. However, unlike the first film, the footage I did see of this one was blatantly awful, so much in fact, that I didn't bother seeing the third film. Widescreen, ample bonus material on this 2-disc special edition.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I thought it would be a little better but I still enjoyed it! The director did a very good job with the music and camera angles.
