I have always felt that a home stereo system is as good as its weakest component.
As other reviewers have noted this kit does degrade the sound of the rear speakers, but in my opinion not enough to be a deal breaker.
In my mind I would rather have a slight degradation of sound in return for not having speaker wires running all over the place.
I should also add that if you are using your system for movies rather than music, the lack of quality is less noticeable
What's great about it: eliminates wiring for rear channel speakers

This product just solved my dilemma about about wiring rear speakers for my surround system (I was torn between running wires around the edges of the living room or under the carpet). I had bought two of these. One for a Christmas present. This product is very intuitive to setup, just connect the four wires and power up the units. As I said, I bought two of these, unfortunately one was DOA. The receiving unit would not power up. Best Buy easily exchanged it for a replacement. The replacement worked like a champ. Both are used everyday, and they have worked seamlessly without any problems. The unit replaces two long speaker cables and the need to try to hide them. I did feel that the price was a bit high for it does. However, the price seems to be justified by the quality of the product experienced so far (exception the DOA unit).

I have a 5.1 surround system and was sick of having wires across my living room to the rear speakers; this little device precludes their necessity. Easy to set up and great sound. Basically a little device you connect to the rear speaker output of your amp, and another that connects to your 2 rear speakers. Sets up in minutes. I used my own speaker wire since that provided seemed a little weak. Very happy with the product.

Easy to set up, and sounds great. No static or other noise noticed. This product solved my issue of having to run and hide wires from the front of my listening area to the rear. However, like I mentioned above, it would have been better if the rear speakers each had their own wireless receiver.
