Perfect Scanner

My wife had a box of photos stored in our shed and I determined that they should be scanned and put on DVD's. This scanner is just what I've been looking for. I have a printer/scanner but can't really move it where I can use it effectively so I bought this flatbed scanner and it is amazing. Thanks Epson!

To complicated to figure out

I purchased this scanner to enlarge crosstitch graphs and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it. It says it enlarges and I was told I could enlarge with this scanner but cannot figure out how to do it and I cannot understand the few directions I have been able to find. Can't someone write directions the average person can understand and do the job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi kidhauler1948, enlarging is done by the resolution settings in the driver. 300 dpi is one-to-one size, and every multiple of 300 essentially doubles the size. For example, if you have a 4" x 6" photo and scan it at 600 dpi, there will be enough pixels to print that photo at 8" x 12". I used this to scan over 200 slides and it worked great, but once I changed to photo mode, it will not return to slide mode. The instructions are terrible, they tell you nothing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ease of operation and very dependable

Even though I have earlier versions of Epson Scanner I have a large project to copy negatives, slides, and flat art and I wanted to use something I have been depending on for literally years in my private and business years as a Forensic Investigator, Epson. It will stand up under the load.
