Poorly Designed

I bought this a week ago, and discovered that V370 does not scan the sides of the scanning bed, but instead crops 3-6 mm from the edges depending on the mode. What's the point of having edges that aren't scanned? I have to move my images slightly away from the corners, making it much more difficult to prevent rotation.

Great for 35mm slides!

I use this for my advanced scanning needs such as slides, negatives and multi-image stitching. Works great with my other Epson printer; Epson Scan always asks which unit I want to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frustrated
on August 10, 2019

I bought this scanner because it was supposed to scan 9" x 12" pages. I paint on 9" x 12" - however it only scans 8.5" x 11.70" which means the painting isn't scanned in its entirety and there is a shadow around the edge. Not what they said it was.

Hi Mama Linda, we appreciate your business and regret to hear that the scanner does not meet your expectations. The Perfection V370 is only designed to handle 8.5" x 11.7" and 35mm negatives and slides. If scanning 9" x 12" pages is a requirement, Epson does have scanner models that support this. If you have any questions, our Epson Support Team would be happy to help and can be reached at (562) 276-4382; Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am – 8pm PT; Saturday, 7am – 4pm PT. Sincerely, Matt – The Epson Team.

Hello MrAstroTurf, unfortunately, the pop-up from Apple is confusing. Apple plans to update a future version of their operating system to no longer support 32-bit applications. Mac OS 10.14 currently does support 32-bit applications, like the drivers for your Perfection V370, so you can download and run your software normally. When Apple releases their new OS in future, you should be able to find updates to your Epson software at our Support site. If you need further assistance, our Epson Support Team would be happy to help and can be reached at (562) 276-4382; Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am – 8pm PT; Saturday, 7am – 4pm PT. Regards, Matt – The Epson Team.

Very Poor Instructions/ SW out of date
on October 19, 2019

The CD didn't have the current SW for my macOS 10.13.6. I downloaded the Driver from your Web site only to discover there where 6 other files required and mixed in amoung them was the 1st Driver twice more! After 3 installations I found the Guide.pkg in Finder and "ran it again"! Now I see the OCR software from ABBYY FineReader is version 8 and I need 12 for macOS High Sierra. HOW DO I GET IT? Scanner still not working. About to do the Reboot of my mac. Totally not impressed!

Hi GaryReg, we thank you for your feedback and apologize for the disappointing experience you’re having with your Epson Perfection V370.
You may obtain the updated version of the Abby FR by running the Epson Software Updater v2.5.0 and you may download it at https://ftp.epson.com/drivers/ESU_250.dmg. Make sure the scanner is ON and connected to you computer when you run the Software Updater. Should you need assistance, our Epson Support Team would be happy to help and can be reached at (562) 276-4382; Hours: Monday – Friday, 6am – 8pm PT; Saturday, 7am – 4pm PT. Ok, but fussy

It took two tries to get Windows 7 to recognize the software. The scan quality is fine, but I don't like that there are two different menu selections (icons) to use the scanner - an auto scan and one with more advanced choices. Why not just use one menu with further choices. Note, if you add a USB extension cord to move it further from the computer, only a few extension cords will work. Truthfully, I like an earlier version of the Epson Perfection that I also have.

Worked okay, then started putting red lines over negatives

I liked it fine until I noticed these transparent parallel red lines over all of my negatives. I don’t think they were there when I first started scanning the photos - either that or the colors of the first negatives hid the parallel red lines.
