Although this wiring has a large gauge and is quite cheap you will have to look extremely closely to see which wire is the positive wire. The wires are marked although for a couple dollars more you can by wiring that does not require perfect vision to see which wire is marked.
What's great about it: Large gauge, good signal transmission
What's not so great: no markings for positve wire
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I almost returned this to the store on the grounds that the polarity wasn't labeled. My son asked to look at it and found little plusses printed on one of the wires. Even after he pointed it out to me, I couldn't see it without a magnifying glass. Since I'm an old fashioned two channel guy I only had to look four times... but I would not recommend this for a home theater!
What's great about it: Ok, the + is labeled somewhere
What's not so great: I literally used a magnifying glass to see it
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the speaker wire is good quality. no trouble with sound cutting in or out.
fair price.
What's great about it: the wire is stable and does not break or fray easy
What's not so great: the smallest roll was still way too much wire for me
