While it fulfills its functional objective of removing debris from between teeth, it is hard to know if it really removes 99.9% of plaque or improves gum health. There is a lot of residual water splashing. Having tried it in my bathroom, I am now using it in the kitchen because there are no mirrors and the sink is much larger. I also have to lay a towel below my right elbow to catch the water running down my forearm. It is largely made of plastic and it just feels like a cheaply made item in spite of its high retail price. Finally, there is no battery charging indicator light, so you never know when the battery is fully charged or even if it is charging.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this a about a month ago and it is wonderful! It is a bit messy and the only thing i don’t like is that water gets in the charging port and that scares me a little. I even turn the head towards the back so that the water goes away from the electric side but some still gets in it. Overall the product does a great job and has already gotten rid of my gingivitis! Super happy with it!!

I bought this because I had some bacteria around a molar that was causing me pain around the tooth. When I went to my dentist, he flushed the area to get rid of the bacteria, and he recommended that I buy a Water Pik because he had one. He said it would keep that area clean and reduce plaque. After just one use, my tooth felt better. After one week, the pain was gone! This is the best thing for your mouth!
