I had a cheaper Waterpik model before I got this one. That one lasted awhile before it would not cooperate with warm water as the jet stream just slowed to a crawl, as if the battery was dying. However, using cold water was just fine. Hopefully this new model doesn't experience that issue. I took one star off of it because the water reservoir is rather small (doesn't last as long as the cheaper model) and is slightly difficult to fill up and empty if needed due to the opening placement. The opening placement does allow you to refill as you use it though with careful placement under the faucet.
I have used this for about 3 weeks now and feel it is keeping my gum lines clean. I wish there were some way to remove ALL the water between uses as we have hard water and I suspect there will be mineral buildup. You have to learn to turn it off before removing it from mouth or you'll be cleaning up around the sink.
Two weeks and I am still figuring it out. There’s a definite learning curve. I think I am using it properly but I am not completely sure. It’s providing me with a lot of water inspired laughs.
I would recommend this to a friend!
