my dentist told me to get this and I hate it,but will keep as a traveler its bulky, hard to navigate ,the resivior is small and it leaks ,the countertop model is much better

I really enjoy using my WP-450 Waterpik. It does a great job removing food from my teeth and bridges. I eat a small bag of popcorn each evening. Afterwards, I brush my teeth and then use my Waterpik. It is amazing how it is capable of removing those annoying popcorn things from my teeth and gums, even though I brushed before using it! The only problem I have with my Waterpik is that the water runs down my arm and unto the floor. This only happens when I use it on the backside of my teeth. Perhaps, I am just not holding it properly. I also love that it is portable and can take it with me when I travel. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

great features, but battery poor.

I bought this 18 months ago. After a year the battery has been undercharging, and even required new charge after 2-3 uses. And then it was not charged enough. I took the entire thing apart, and discovered that the motor was charged, but the pressure to push water through the channels overwhelmed the motor force. Once put back together it did better for a few weeks, but now is back to dying after only 2-3 uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Holds a great charge for only a month!

Was a joy for one month. Strong motor & really cleaned between teeth & gums very well. Thanks to a moo.review which said this happens often with this exact product, they recommend scraping the 2 gold prongs at the base where you plug in the charge as the company puts silicone over them. I will try that. There is also no clear signal that the battery is charging.
I really liked it & how it didn't take up counter space like the others do. I would buy this again if you could charge it after a month. So disappointed. Very interesting they ask you for a review 3 weeks after you buy it before you know it can't be charged.

I've been using your water pik for years and I just want you to know how much I love it and I wonder how much money you're saving everyone who is using it. The last time I got my teeth cleaned the dentist even noticed the difference of how much less cleaning they needed. I thank you for a wonderful product and keep up the good work.
