I bought this after my dentist recommended I do, as I have very deep pockets and dental floss is not enough. It works wonderfully and I appreciate the extra different heads that came with it.

I think the waterpik is indispensable for oral hygiene, but wish it would last longer. I am on my 4th waterpik in 4 years. I do the recommended rinse out with white vinegar weekly, but the motor seems to die after a year. I use it twice/day.

This is my second water pik, .and it is my best buddy. Now that I have a few bridges, I need extra help to be sure that my mouth is really clean. A regular brushing never does the excellent job of the water pik.

For as much as this is effective, it is messier than it has to be and there are operational issues:
1. The biggest issue is the On-Off switch. In the larger unit, you have a button that stops the flow and is easier to use. That is what should be in this unit. I don't know how others use this unit, but I do NOT WANT continuous spray - thus my comment and my struggle using this unit.
2. The water tank gets loose. This is because it is not securely attached on all sides. This needs to be fixed as it is going to ultimately break (and I can only hope it does break to ask for a replacement before my warranty expires.
3. You don't provide one of the "deep pocket" attachments (like you do provide in the bigger unit) and trying to buy one seems impossible. You do include an orthodontic attachment which is useless to me and arguably the majority of your customers.
4. The charge to the battery does not seem to be very good. It starts strong when I start on my lower teeth and by the time I reach the upper teeth it seems to lose power. For such a big unit, even though portable, I would expect a healthy 10-15 fully powered charge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
