Traded in my old 5 year old flip phone and this is the one recommended. It is not as good as the old one as it seems to lose a lot of calls even in my home where the other one did not, it also seems to need recharging every other day as the old one lasted for 3-5 days. I will go back to the store where I got it and have them check it as I am not real happy with this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Semi-smart phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this little basic phone. It has all I need in a phone, plus it has a camera. I got the leather case for it and like wearing it on my pocket.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use

Downgrade from previous model

Downgrade from the old model. Extremely annoying phone.
1) No video
2) Had to transfer contacts manually 1 by 1 from old phone
3) Ditto photos
4) Pressure-sensitive interface instead of arrow buttons around "OK" button work badly. When I press "OK" i sometimes inadvertantly hit a pressure-sensitive spot which disrupts what I was doing & forces me to start over.

Easier to use than a prior product

We are one of three families in the entire world that does not "live" for their phone. Most of the time it lies in the basket on our kitchen counter. But we do take it with us when we travel more than we did our last phone. I wish when you punched to turn it on, it would do so instantly. Not have to hold the button in for several seconds. It is smaller than the last phone, and seems easier to use.

Large buttons for large fingers

Like this as a basic phone. button size, alarm button on front. I agree that it is hard to open and can be slippery, needs a notched top

I am a little disappointed that I can't find an Airplane Mode or a better way to grid out the main menu; all I can get for the latter is a list. For when I can't have all the ringers, buzzers and alarms go off, I guess I'll have to turn the phone off! This single model was the only one offered even somewhat near the price range I was looking for when I was shopping today.
