Generally, no one who buys a movie need a review of that movie - he or she is buying it being already aware of the movie and like it. Common sense, then, instructs this review be limited to the quality of the disc transfer.
AUDIO: The number one concern re audio is center channel clarity. Are the voices easily discernible and separate? Are the tonal qualities lifelike. On both - yes. 5 x 5 for audio quality.
VIDEO: Does the video quality match the 'promised' blu-ray standard? Yes. Black is black. Contrast is high. Detail is finely presented. 5 x 5 for video quality.
Highly recommend this blu-ray transfer.

Somehow, I did not have this movie. Picked it up from Best Buy for cheap just in time for Valentine’s Day. Perfect gift.
Unfortunately. The 30th anniversary cardboard insert on the front is glued to the plastic on the case. You have to pull so hard to remove it that it leaves permanent stretch marks in the plastic. This is done in such a way I have to assume all 30th anniversary editions of this film will have this problem,
Disc and movie are great though,

I have loved this movie ever since I was a child the thrilling adventure plus the romance and the comedy all my favorite things rolled into one movie. I was so excited to find this 30th anniversary addition at Best Buy that I knew I just had to have it, plus a huge bonus was that it was in blueray. You can’t go wrong with a classic like this I highly recommend this movie this is also a great family movie as well one your kids will love for a very long time.

This is a classic fantasy-romance movie, filled with memorable lines and incredible performances. It's not to be missed. And this is a great blu-ray, filled with features about the making and legacy of the movie.

Got it for my daughter, since it is one of her favorites. "12/10," she says, "such great characters, fantastic story line, and magnificent fight scenes." It truly is the movie for everyone- it has romance, comedy, action, and even suspense, not even I could fall asleep during this movie.
