This is the best horror movie of all time in my opinion. This blu ray edition features top notch audio and video, supervised by cinematographer Dean Cundley. Highly recommended.

New wave of American horror

This brought the slasher/horror genre to a new level setting the genre up for the 80's. I was bored with it as a kid, I was used to more gore and shock moments in the genre, saw the cockroach scene in Nightmare on Elm Street 4 at 4 and the shotgun blast in Return of the Living Dead 2 at 3, but have come to accept this as a great. Music, mood, atmosphere, all there. Blu-ray has all the extras at least I think are a good bonus.

Most people will be familiar with this groundbreaking film that made slasher films mainstream. It was filmed for $325,000 in 1978 and returned over $70 million at the box office making it one of the most successful independent films of all time. You have seen lots of imitators, but if you haven't seen the original, now is the time.
