Outstanding Classic Holiday Music

Josh Groban has worked with David Foster on his other musical endeavors, and this CD shows how well they work together. Classic songs with a little bit of updating in their feel make the songs ready made for Josh. His voice is excellent for this kind of music, and his fans have been clammering for a Chrstimas CD for years. His duet with Faith Hill on "The First Noel" is alright, and she seems to overpower Josh in some parts of the song. "Little Drummer Boy" is abolsulty fantastic with a well orchestrated score to make this a heart-thumping piece. This CD will definitely become a favorite of many people for years to come.
What's great about it: Classic feel, solid voice, excellent arrangements
What's not so great: Duets not always balanced
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great Christmas Album Josh Groban voice is awesome, I listen to it all day and its not even christmas yet makes me really smile

A Wonderful Christmas CD to Cherish

This is an all-around wonderful Christmas CD to own. I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. All the songs are sung with so much heart and feeling, you can tell that Josh really put a lot into this CD.
Ave Maria-- wow, talk about vocal brilliance-- Absolutely, beautiful. My other favorites are: Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night, The Christmas Song. I really enjoyed the duet with him and Brian McKnight on Angels We Have Heard on High. I felt that it was a nice twist to the song. Brian also has an amazing, soulful voice. I also enjoyed O Come All Ye Faithful with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
The only drawbacks I found were there were NO upbeat Christmas songs--I would have liked at least just one--and I was a bit disappointed with The First Noel. Josh and Faith Hills' voices don't really mesh well. But, even with the drawbacks, the CD is very enjoyable that I highly recommend.
What's great about it: Traditional X-mas music, great vocals, beautifully done
What's not so great: No upbeat Christmas songs found

He has one of the most beauitiful voices and I love this album! He sings traditional Christmas songs and puts an up to date twist on some favorites. His duets are wonderful and the choirs used on this album give me chills. Worth every penny!!!!

I purchased this album for my 82 year old Aunt and she never heard him before. I did give this to her before Christmas and that in itself was smart on my part. She played that wrapping presents and all thru the holiday . I even caught her singing along late one night. She loved it!!
What's great about it: Everything aboput this is wonderful for all ages
What's not so great: not a one
I would recommend this to a friend!

Josh Groban's voice is amazing! I listen to this CD all the time (not just Christmas time) I absolutely love this CD and I reccomend it to everyone! My favorite track is "Th First Noel" which he sings with Faith Hill. It's SO beautiful.
