Microwave burned up - extremely dangerous

after just 15 months of ownership while i was not home the microwave burnt up. the heating element by itself cranked up to high heat with the screen off, none of the buttons are responsive.
this could have burned down my entire house...imagine if it was normal for your oven to just operate at full power by itself when you weren't home. avoid this faulty product - several other reviews that call out premature product failures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great unit for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago. I love it. If I had anything to mention that could make it better that would be the footing needs to be tackier. When I push to open the door, press the numbers to set time, and or press the Start button the unit slides.

Door latch doesn't work

Door latch has never worked. As some others have said, you have to hold the latch down and use the other hand to open. Very annoying because I usually already have a plate in hand. I originally thought it was an unlevel surface causing the issue. However, it isnow on a clearly level surface and even tilting forward (gravity) does not work. Unfortunately, it is a month out of warranty and service call costs more than purchase price even before parts! 2nd star is because it works well and walls are easy to clean. Grilling element is hard to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
