Display broken, hardly used

i purchased this microwave because the house came with all newer stainless steel samsung appliances. i thought i’d stick with that; however, i’m rethinking this brand after my experiences. i wish i could say this is the first newer product i’ve had problems with, but it is not.
we use this microwave only a few times per week and have had it for 2 years. the microwave works fine right now, but the display is suddenly missing a segment, which makes it hard to discern the numbers sometimes. warranty is only 1 year, i’m seeing, and getting this repaired will cost nearly as much as the microwave itself.
instead of investing more money into samsung, i think i will buy a new microwave of a different brand. i expected more from the quality and longevity, for sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product and great price/value. There is an issue with the door. The door does not always open when the button is pressed, I need to depress the button and hold it while using my other hand to pull the door open.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It could be in Demo mode if your microwave doesn't heat up. You can check your microwave for signs of overheating and power loss or disable Demo mode to solve the issue.

our gently used samsung microwave burnt up in a month. it was loud out of the box but it worked...for 1 month and then suddenly died with an awful burning smell.

We love our Samsung microwave. It's attractive, easy to use, versatile, a great performer, and notifies us when we've forgotten something inside the oven. We are also proud owners of a Samsung refrigerator, two Samsung televisions, a Samsung BluRay player, a Samsung sound bar, and two Samsung cell phones. We love Samsung's products.

This microwave is a great. . However the only draw back that I have found is the buttons. When selecting input you must have your finger straight on the button or it will not work. Apparently the piece that must activate the settings is very small and you must be directly on the specific button .. No side hitting no sliding. . That is the only draw back so far that I have found. .
