1 month out of warranty and it's broken

We bought this microwave in July 2016 and now in August 2017 the microwave will frequently lose power when opening the door and smells of burning plastic when cooking food (is this safe?). Conveniently one month past the end of the 12-month manufacturer warranty. I won't be buying a Samsung brand appliance in the future. Very disappointed.

Broken already!

I NEVER write bad reviews but this deserves it. We bought this 14 months ago and it just died on us....of course only 2 months outside the warranty time frame. We loved it until now, but something that doesn't last more than a year is a piece of junk! Will never buy Samsung again.

Do not waste your money!

Hmm... the writing guidelines prevent me from publishing an accurate, honest and detailed review. With this in mind, I would advise people to avoid this product. I had to return the first one due to damage. The second one, which I currently have, came with loose screws. In fact, you might want to research this item before buying. I am not the only person who has noticed that this is a poor quality product - the detailed complaints from other owners are accurate!

Excellent quality in smaller size

Who knew microwave shopping was so hard?! Found this one after looking at dozens of others and was instantly in love. Ceramic inside plus has convention oven, in addition to the stainless steel outside the design is excellent. We had a difficult time finding a microwave that would fit on a shelf in our kitchen and this one fits perfectly! Inside is still excellent size (we're a large family, so didn't want to compromise on size), is easy to clean, and has a light on the inside (after looking at several other microwaves we discovered that's not always the norm). The clock display is a bright blue, so fits in with the sleek model and design of the microwave, and our kitchen. Love this product, price was worth it for the quality. No complaints.

Worst microwave I ever purchased in over 30 years

Keypad is the worst one I have ever used. You have to touch the keys repeatedly to find the "sweet" spot to get your desired function and time. I want to touch it with a hammer every day.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Not high def, keypad flawed

No quick buttons

Pro: My favorite thing about the microwave is the ceramic coating. My previous microwaves were not ceramic coated and they eventually rusted on the inside. Price was reasonable. The "crisp" feature is very handy to make the top of the stuff you microwave crispy. These are great advanced features. However, the microwave falls short on the basic/common features every other microwave has......
Cons:
1) There are no "quick" buttons. Other microwaves I've owned had a "1" button that when pushed automatically started the microwave for one minute. This microwave requires you to push "1-0-0-Start" (4 buttons total) to microwave something for one minute. It is annoying.
2) The programmable cook features are not intuitive. For example, if I want to heat a cup of water, I press the "cook" button, then the number "2" (number 2 means that I'm microwaving a volume of 1 cup), and then start. If I was microwaving 1.5 cups I'd press the "3" button. Confusing.
3) You can't use the timer and microwave something simultaneously. For example, if you're cooking something in the oven for one hour and you want to use the microwave's timer, you set its timer for one hour. However, if you need to microwave something during this one hour period, you're out of luck. You have to cancel the timer in order to microwave something.
Although the "pros" are nice, I would not recommend this microwave because of the unacceptable cons. These would be an easy fix, so hopefully Samsung improves them on future models.

Extremely well designed and engineered ...

After researching multiple brands and models, it was literally a no-brainer that I chose this Samsung microwave with the extra grilling feature. Its design is sleek and appealing to the eye and adds a bit of class to our kitchen countertop. It is relatively small in size (which is terrific for a counter top) but has more than expected interior cooking volume - well engineered. It is relatively light-weigh for easy moving to clean underneath. Although used primarily for its microwave cooking, the extra grilling feature is really a plus (not available on many brands/models. It is easy to use and cooks evenly and consistently. Of all the brands and models that I researched, this is definitely the biggest bang for the buck. Glad I took the time to research and select this unit. You won't be disappointed!
Pros: Inexpensive, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, includes grilling feature
