I purchased this refrigerator in 2014. I was happy with it until July 2022. I did not expect a fridge to stop working. The amount of money new refrigerators cost, they should last at least 20 years. Warranty is only for a year for most parts. Compressor for 10 years and it was not the compressor that broke. Took 3 techs to find the problem, hole in the tubing, Freon leaked out.

I've had my refrigerator for about 5 years now. Unfortunately, though, I've had to have a new compressor twice already. Sure seems to me that a compressor should last longer than 3 years (which was how long it lasted). Otherwise, it's a good appliance. Wish it was easier to keep the outside free of smudges though.

I bought this product at 2018, the compressor has failed after 4 years. This is unacceptable. I expect refrigerators to last at least 10y. I put the blame squarely on LG

Our fridge is just under 5 years old and the cooling unit went out. The LG stove we bought at the same time the motherboard went out 3 months ago. 2 LG products in 3 months with critical components failing. Support was less than helpful. Not a fan.

This was a beautiful fridge and I love the water and ice but the compressor went out after five years and the cost to replace it was more than a new fridge. I will no longer be buying LG appliances. Very disappointed.

I bought this fridge in 2018. My house has some odd sized spaces for appliances, and this was the only fridge that I could find that fit into the available space. Since I bought it, the freezer has died twice. I have had to throw away 2 full freezers of food. The only positive is that the repairs were covered by warranty, and I didn't have to pay extra. I have been really frustrated with this fridge.
