Problem with ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the refrigerator for less than a week but have been disappointed by the ice maker. It seems only to dispense ice when you first open the ice maker up and physically manipulate the ice. That's really inconvenient. We hope it's a temporary phenomenon.

Best 24.2 cu ft Refrigerator on the Market!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a refrigerator that was only 1 year old, but we found it severely lacking in storage space and quality. Since we're in a condo with a limited space for a fridge, we thought that was the best we could do - until we saw the LG LFXS24623S at our son's home. We immediately purchased one and gave away the fridge we had.
The LG LFXS24623S has been excellently designed! We love the French Door freezer and the way the ice maker is built into the left-side door, saving considerable space. We love the split shelf design and the deli draw along with the two produce draws. To be honest, we love everything about this refrigerator. My wife has said many times, "I can't believe I love my fridge so much!" My brother-in-law has also purchased the same model, so that makes 3 of them for our family! This is definitely an award winner, and after having used it, we would definitely purchase it again!

Nice design

There have been several times when the ice does not dispense and we have had to manually break up the ice in the bin for it to work. It typically happens when changing from crushed ice to cubes.
We specifically bought this fridge for that feature so it is frustrating that it does not always work especially for the price we paid.

Ice doesn't dispense

Better Than Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to replace a 33" wide 20 cu ft side-by-side and discovered features, and even the models, available in this size, limited -- except for LG. We liked the design of the ice maker, the bottom freezer that can hold pizzas, the separate dispensers for water and ice so we aren't surprised with what was last selected, and that it has a freezer bin to hold extra ice. All the parts felt quality. We read as many reviews as we could and then purchased.
What we found after the purchase: It's quiet, making a low sound, like a power plant. Not at all annoying There's a lot more room inside and everything is easy to see and well lit. It's adaptable to your own arrangement of shelves and bins. The ice is harder and clearer and because it's a drop feed, we don't get stale ice. There is some trade-off in door shelf space for the ice maker, but it's worth it.
What could make it better:
1. An easier way to engage and disengage the leveling feet, both at installation and when moving the fridge out for service or cleaning.
2. Better indication of where ice and water dispense, especially to help guests. I know it's supposed to be a drawing of ice, bit it also looks like bubbles. We labeled ours with arrows and "ice".
3. A freezer basket or two to help keep the large spaces organized.

I’m going to change the filter to see if that solves the problem. I love the sliding shelf, the large capacity and the whole set up. I love the 2 freezer drawers. It’s a great fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this refrigerator! However, problem with lower drawer developing ice at top inside of drawer. I'm constantly clearing this off, as I'm afraid it may interfere with closing tightly.
