I bought this about 5 months ago, so excited that I was nearly late picking my kids up from school I wanted to mop so badly! I threw it together (easy as cake), filled up the tank, and started to mop. At first I was really dissapointed-it made my floors streaky, left the footprints from the dog (easy to clean with a paper towel) and didn't seem to do much of anything. I was getting ready to take it back to the store when I realized that the reason it probably wasn't working right was because the steam couldn't get through the pad if I didn't pre-wet it. After a couple of trial & errors (too much water, too little etc) I found the perfect ratio to get the mop working great. THIS WILL MAKE IT WORK-GUARANTEED!! I took a spray bottle and put it on the mistier side, spray the part of the pad that will be cleaning the floor to a damp yet not completely wet state, and VOILA~it works great now! I absolutelly HATED mopping the floors with a passion, and now it's one of the easiest housework chores I have. I've even turned into a personal infommercial girl & have literally taken it to friends houses to show them how much I love it. Once in a while I put 1/4 vinegar to 3/4 water in the container to keep the buildup out of the machine, and also to give the floors that extra little kick. It's safe around my bird too, which I love!! I can't believe how amazing something like this could be. Not to be a dork or anything, but it's sort of changed my life..haha. When it comes to cleaning my floors anyway.
What's great about it: Lightweight, easy to store, easy to drain excess water, cleans great

This could be the biggest waste of money you ever spend. After two months the handle broke, after two months and a day the trigger snapped off and at 3 months it completely died. If you'd like it repaired or replaced you must pay the shipping costs then you can do it all over again 3 months later. The pads merely push the dirt across the floor and replacement pads are very expensive. Check other reviews (e.g. Amazon or WalMart) this thing is just plain bad.
What's great about it: It's purple if your wife likes purple
What's not so great: Cheap quality - quits after 3 months.

I received this as a Christmas gift. Assembled it and ready to steam my tyle floors. After spending 2 hrs and multiple times pumping to get the steam going - nothing. Called the 800# and talk to a rep. After expressing my desire to throw it in the Gulf along with other Sharks they expected me to ship it back at my exppense. Remember a gift and never used, but I was to pay to have it shipped back for "repair". I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told to cut the cord and send it in at my expense and they would send me a new one. Again, I felt I should not have to pay to ship anything back since it was never used. Finally they agreed to just send a new one - but I don't think I really want their product - a $99 piece of junk, but I will take it since I have no other choice. After reading reviews this one received the worse reviews and many other steamers were much better - only gets up to 110 degrees compaired to others in 200+. I feel bad my son spent his hard earned money on this. He thought he was doing something great for me. I see what others are saying about the flimsey handel and only one hole for steam. EXTREMELY FRUSTRAITED over this.

Microfiber pads are hard to push on the floor. Had excellent results using 2 foot square terricloth towel folded in half and dampened. Short strokes will keep the steam pouring out. I liked the mop and it really cleans the vinyl floor. Was almost done with my floors on Wed before Thanksgiving 2009 and the mop died. Green light on front went out. Tried several outlets over several days and it is dead. Originally bought this Sep 2008 so it was 2 months outside of warranty. Over the 14 months it was probably used a dozen times. Very disapointing in that aspect. Time for more research to find a new steam mop.
What's great about it: Lots of steam, floor dries quickly
What's not so great: Heating element died after 14 months

I'm so mad at myself for falling victim to this scam. I should have done my homework like I normally do but instead; I purchased this piece of junk based on the reviews from this site. When you spend $80.00 on a cleaning product, you expect it to clean. Before you can even begin using the steam mop you need to do three things. First, make sure you sweep the floor very well. And when I say well, make sure you pick up every bit of lint, hair, crumbs, etc. If you fail to sweep properly you'll end up with a fine line that you're just pushing from one side of the room to the other. Secondly, if you want the corners of your floor clean, you'll have to get down on your hands and knees to do this manually. The design of the mop head doesn't fit well into the corners and you'll only jam the dirt and crumbs further into them. Lastly, clean up all scuff marks with some other cleaner; this mop will only glide right over them. Overall, don't waste your money; you're better off just buying a regular $8.00 mop.

The 4th time I used this the handle snapped right above the reservoir where the handle attaches and it's not fixable. I contacted Euro Pro and someone was supposed to get back to me but it's been a few months and no one has contacted me so it seems the company doesn't provide very good customer service. As far as how it worked the few times that I used it, as long as you sweep or vacuum extremely well so there's no debris on the floor it will get up spots but you have to really push a lot on the handle to activate the steam. The actual mop doesn't really hold as much dirt as advertised so you have to change it often if you are doing more than a small area or it will leave streaks. The mop heads aren't cheap either so by the time you buy 2 or more new ones at $10 each it's not really that economical since you'll probably need at least 4 to clean your entire house depending on your floorspace. It also leaves a line of dirt if there is any amount of dust on the floor as it really doesn't pick up and hold dirt, it just kind of pushes it around. I wouldn't waste money on it, I'm regretting that I bought it.
What's great about it: Easier than a mop and bucket
What's not so great: Handle breaks easily, leaves streaks
