Great zoom ,but problems with brightness

I love the zoom, and focus is ok, just ok. Main problem is most of my photos are over exposed and I have to go to my pc and open a photo editing program and tweak every photo. Usually to much brightness. It only takes 20-30 seconds or so for each photo, but coming back from vacation with 1500 photos it gets to be quite laborious.

We love our SX60HS camera. We started with the 30 and upgraded to the 40, 50 and now the 60. I love the video feature. Can't wait for the new one.

I bought this camera for the many features it has and the added zoom and it takes great pictures but am a little disapointed in the image stablazation at the long point of the zoom, not being able to hold it steady. It might be something I am doing wrong. Compared to my old camrea it is not as good and hard to zero in on and object at long range.

FOCUS!!

The Focus is not so good, slow to get in focus, sometimes it's in focus, sometimes it refuses to get there and I've missed my shot. No matter which mode, never know if the focus is going to be there.

SX60 vs SX50

Canon very generous with trying to resolve problems I am having with my SX60. It's seems when shooting long distance, the photos at times look blurry and not good or clear detail photos as to photographing wildlife. Not as clear as my SX50 ! Not sure why ?

Love It !

Now had this camera for a year [plus], so think a review is in order. If you want close up / macro shots - this is the camera.
It has handled anything in Nature that I've put it through - even when it slipped off my shoulder and hit the ground .. camera is fine. Protective filter over the lens was toast! So, if you don't use a protective filter - DO. You never know.
Of course some things turn out better than others - but, am not a pro - this is a fun thing to document things I see and want to remember.
Butterflies ... you can count the hairs on the body...
Flowers ... you can almost smell the aroma through the photo.
Don't care for it when taking videos .. too dark .. so, just use my SX40 instead.
I am a very happy camper!
I would recommend this to a friend!

SX60 lousy

I bought SX60 as I have 3 other canon cameras and am extremely disappointed in this one. I got it hoping to photo animals in Yellowstone. Other than close ups, it needs a tripod. Pics are blurry because you can't hold it still.
Should come with warning to only use with TRIPOD!
I would return if it wasn't too late.
Also when I wanted to get a filter, it required an adapter. Not sure why Canon didn't just make one to fit?
