Very frustrating

It is true that this camera takes great quality pictures. However, actually acquiring pictures at all makes me want to bang my head on the nearest hard object...
I like to zoom up on objects (i.e. Birds), but when I fill the view finder with an object, it automatically focuses on literally everything But that object (i.e. Leaves, the building 50 yds further away, etc...)!!
Even when I do get it to focus on my object, 1 of 2 things happens. Either I hit the capture button and it takes the object OUT of focus right before acquiring the image, or, my favorite, I hit the button, ...hold it down, ...press harder... NOTHING!!! Just does not respond to the fact that I am telling it I want it to take a
picture!!! So bizarre!

Camera works good outdoors, not indoors. Need a tripod for distance as it is blurry otherwise. Does not work with Windows 10 it uses old tech and needs new drivers and software. Does not do close ups very well, I want to see eyelashes and they are blurry. Otherwise great for landscapes.

I recently purchased a SX60HS. I am not pleased with its performance. The color of the photos that I have taken are quite Dull. Landscapes that I have taken are, too, quite Dull. I am, now, sorry that I purchased it.

I was thrilled with this when I bought 2 of them, one for me, one for my wife, over 3 years ago. It was great for its time. Now, the sensor is just horribly outdated. The video is still excellent. I love the feature that allows for double the optical zoom in video mode. But, the noise at ISO 1600 is comparable or worse than the noise from newer cameras at ISO 6400, even with the same sensor size. And, the viewfinder just can't track moving subjects with continuous photo shooting. Further, what was the top of the line zoom no longer is. It's time for Canon to take back this market.

Very Disappointed

I've been using a Canon for well over 15 years and this is the first time you've disappointed me. I bought the SX60 to replace my Power Shot S3 IS. The camera takes great pictures and the zoom is super, as do all of the other camera brands, but you screwed up on the simple things. It's a point and shot: not a top of the line DSLR. Most of the features you added, I could replicate in Photo Shop. A great feature like panoramic shooting isn't on the camera. You've turned an advanced amateur camera into one for an expert. How in heaven's name could you have the nerve to even print the guide. You're product engineering is Wally's worst nightmare from Dilbert.

All the years I had my canons they were wonderful to download photos. This one is tough. Great taking the photos. Downloading is a whole new ball game. I've had the camera for 2 years. I have all the shots on the camera. But haven't been able to find a descent download system.
