Nice really easy to use but it’s also kinda big ,it’s perfect if you Bake a lot of cakes if not a regular small mixer will do ,but it also does mix everything well together but the thing is if you don’t mix thing a lot just buy a 50 dollar one at Walmart and use the rest of the money for paying bills or something in my opinion :);)

great mixer

I bought this for my mother for Christmas. She has osteo arthritis pretty bad in her hands and mixing by hand is very painful, even using the hand mixer has become painful for her as her arthritis worsens. Even mixing up some mashed potatoes or pancake mix had become difficult.
With the kitchenaid mixer, she is able to cook and bake again without pain! She has even gotten excited about trying out new tools and attachments and making recipes she has never tried before!
I would have given 5 stars if the machine was lighter... It is too heavy for her to pick up or move by herself (because of the arthritis).

The Artisan was purchased as a Christmas gift to replace a KitchenAid Professional. We would have preferred a white or black stand mixer, but Best Buy didn't have them in stock. Another down side is the mixer attachments from the Professional are larger and do not fit the Artisan. Other than these downfalls, the Artisan works well for all the dough we've made in it.
