I didn't realize I needed a Mixer!

I am more of a cook than a baker, but after purchasing my KithenAid I have been baking like crazy! The KitchenAid mixer makes baking clean and efficient with little hassle.

The reason I went for the Artisan tilt head is mainly because of the handle on the mixing bowl. The handle has been incredibly useful, especially four pouring batter.

The KitchenAid is made with high quality craftsmanship that will not disappoint! It is definitely an investment that I am happy to have made.

Great mixer. Looks good and works great. Only had it a short time but no operational issues as of yet. As a note - the bowl that came with ours had a residue on the inside of it that we weren't aware of. We did wash the bowl before its first use however once it got going you could see the grey residue coming off in the cookie dough. Needless to say the batch of cookies was ruined. After looking online we saw that this had happened to many people. We ending up scrubbing it with a vinegar solution and it eventually came off and haven't had an issue since. So if it's your first time using it I would scrub it with some vinegar and soap til you can't see the residue anymore. It wasn't really a deal breaker for us and look forward to using this mixer for a long time.

I love KitchenAid mixers. I bought my plain white one many years back. It served me well. As my daughters grew up, I wanted to give each of them a KitchenAid mixer of their own. My older daughter chose the Apple Green and my younger daughter chose a softer mint green. In general, we all have been very happy with our mixers. My only criticism is that buyers should be warned to tighten all screws and bolts on the machines on a regular basis. I was visiting with my older daughter and making cookies with my grandson and all of a sudden while using the mixer it began jumping around on the counter and making a horrible noise. I grabbed my grandson to get him away from the machine. My daughter pulled the plug on the mixer. We figured out that the bolt on the front end of the mixer, where you add attachments had fallen off and into the cookie batter and had become wedged in place and caused the ruckus. The mixer would not work after that. My daughter and her husband looked into having the mixer repaired and it was expensive and some distance away. The mixer sat in their garage for about a year and they used a hand mixer. About two months ago, before another return visit with my daughter, I ordered a replacement mixer for her. She was delighted. During our May visit, I made cookies again, this time with my granddaughter. While we were mixing we heard the distinct sound of falling metal. We discovered that yet another screw from the back underside of the mixer had fallen out and hit the outside of the bowl and fallen on the counter. My husband was able to find a small Allen wrench and put the screw back in place. He then checked and tightened all the screws on the appliance.
Overall it is a great kitchen tool. It is generally long lasting. My younger daughter is considering the attachment for making fresh pasta. My older daughter calls her machine "counter art".
Well really do love our machines.

Great for mixing cookie dough in small batches

This stand mixer cut down my cookie making time by half, and I avoided straining my hands from mixing the thick dough manually. It mixed slow when the dough thickened, so I exchanged it with another kitchen aide with higher watts of 550 for the same price that was on Deal of the Day.
