We Are Loving LeapTV

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have a LeapTV party for my kids and a few of their friends to see how I felt and other moms felt about the LeapTV. So far, I can't think of any complaints, other than wanting to let the kids try more games.
LeapTV is great! I will play a few of the games with the kids, and they can be a nice workout and loads of fun for kids of all ages :).
The kids have not only had fun, but been up and moving and even learning! It's a whole new way to look at video games. I honestly never thought I would let my youngest daughter play video games as much as I have been recently, but with the cold weather moving in I can't think of a better way for them to be inside and moving without tearing the house down, lol. Another great product from LeapFrog! I highly recommend this product, it's been fun for my kids and their friends. I have several friends who are purchasing a LeapTV for their children because they enjoyed watching their children play ours. We have plenty more games to try, and one of my children have been doing things around the house because she wants to save up to buy one. SCORE, even motivates them to work around the house lol. We love ours!
Pros: Educational, Fun for kids, Grows with child
I would recommend this to a friend!

Your Kids Can Participate On Screen!

The LeapTV is an amazing new gaming console for kids.
Not only are the games fun and educational, but your child can actually use their own body motion to play many of the games.
There are 3 ways to play; body motion, pointer play and with a classic controller.
The games teach reading, mathematics, science and problem solving skills.
I love that I don't have to worry about the games that they are playing, and I also love that they get up off the couch and move to play.
Your family will love this system!
***I was given a LeapTV free of charge for review, however, my thoughts and opinions are always completely my own.
Pros: Educational, Fun for kids, Grows with child

This is an awesome little console for my daughter. We first received it when she was only about three years old and she has played it ever since. It's a great console to keep your child up and moving around. She has played it quite often, and loves how active she can be with it.
We've had a small issue with the camera not being in the right position for the screen to capture her body at the correct distance, however after moving it around a couple times we've managed to fix it and figure it out. Now that it works really well, my daughter has played it with ease.
The console has several games you can purchase, but comes with a sample game to entertain your child long enough for you to find time to purchase another game or several. It's very easy to set up and install, and my five year old finds no problem navigating the screens with her remote by herself. When she was younger she needed assistance, but now she doesn't.
I highly recommend this for anyone who is trying to keep their child active in the house, and not playing games that are not appropriate for younger ages.
Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not alter my opinion in any way. All opinions are my own.

Great for young kids!

My daughter loves her new LeapTV. She's 4 and she can easily maneuver through the menus after a little practice. The controller is a great size for small hands and the wrist strap is great for keeping it from flying across the room. I love that she is learning while having fun and she gets up and moving.
The games are age appropriate. Not too hard and not too easy. We only have two games right now, but we're having a lot of fun with them and hope to add more to the collection soon. Speaking of games I love the cartridges as they are easy for her to insert and remove and I don't have to worry about them getting damaged like a disc.
My 2 year old even tries to play and has fun with it even though the games are a little above her skill set, yet.
*I was provided a LeapTV to test and review, but was not otherwise compensated. All opinions are my own.

Since we have had the Leap TV my kids have been glued to it. They LOVE seeing themselves on TV. I love that it keeps them active. They actually tire themselves out playing all the physical games.
I also like that it includes education. My 4 yo is figuring out how adding and subtraction works. My 3 yo is learning his numbers so the LeapTV games are perfect.
I would recommend this to anyone with kids under the age of 8.

LeapTV is a huge "hit" with my grandsons . . . and

It is extremely common for our grandchildren (children) to enjoy playing video games; and to spend a fair amount of time doing so . . . or at least as much time as we allow them to spend doing so. My grandsons definitely enjoy playing video games, so when I heard about the new LeapTV, I was very interested in learning more about it; and I was very happy to agree to review LeapTV and write my own opinions of it when LeapFrog invited me to participate in their review.
A couple days ago a box arrived with a LeapTV system, pre-loaded with seven games for me to review and an extra controller; since my grandsons were coming over Saturday for a sleepover, I planned to let them check it out with me. And check it out they did! It did take us a little bit to get everything working . . . the controllers did not seem to want to do what we wanted them to do at first, but then they kicked in . . . or maybe we figured out what they did and how to get them to do what they did!
At any rate, the LeapFrog LeapTV Ultimate Spider-Man Game was a HUGE hit with Josiah and Caleb loved the LeapFrog LeapTV Disney Jake and The Never Land Pirates Game! They both danced with the LeapFrog LeapTV Dance and Learn Game and they LOVED LeapFrog LeapTV Kart Racing: Supercharged! Game! While the boys were more concerned with if the games were fun . . . and they both enthusiastically told me they are definitely fun, I am very happy to see these games are more than just games. They help children learn math and reading as well as get them moving! Yes, I said, "moving"!
LeapTV is what it says it is . . . "A video game system which gets kids into the action while teaching core skills across reading, mathematics, science and problem solving. Gaming just got smarter with the LeapTV educational, active video gaming system. Kids can learn through motion as they jump, dance and more. With a library of 100+ LeapFrog educator-approved game cartridges, game downloads and videos, kids will never run out of fun! Designed from the ground up for children ages three to eight years old, the LeapTV video game system changes the way children learn by combining activity and movement with best-in-class educational curriculum." With LeapTV, you do not just sit on the sofa and play a game; you stand, move, dance and are actually moving along with the games! Plus, the motion-sensing camera adds to the fun by putting children on the TV and into the games as they play! The boys were very surprised and happy to see themselves on the TV, in the games as they played!
LeapTV provides three ways to play - depending on the game they are playing.
Body motion - where children become the "star" of their own game. There is a motion-sensing camera which captures children's moves and puts them into the game. (This delighted my grandsons - they loved seeing themselves on the TV in the game as they played!)
Pointer Play happens as the remote "transforms" with a simple twist and allows children to slice through coconuts, swing from building to building and more active fun! (I appreciated how the game pauses to let children know if they need to "transform" their controller or not - so they did not have to try to figure out which way to use the controllers!)
Classic Control gives children the option of pressing buttons or tilting and shaking the controller so they can drive, run, or move as they need to for each game.
I know my grandsons very much enjoyed playing with the LeapTV and I'm glad to see not only are they able to enjoy some of their favorite characters and games, but they are learning and moving while they do so! LeapTV is a huge "hit" with my grandchildren . . . and with this grandma!
