Highly Addictive

We have used the system for several days now and love it! When my 5 year old gets home from school hes ready to jump on it and get playing. He was able to customized the home screen and pick his "icon" (he choose a soccer ball) Each game adds in an element of learning..after all that's what leapfrog is about right? So when bowling he had to "power up" his ball before he could bowl. He was asked a few questions like "which number (out of 3 selections) is the number 8"...some of the questions were a little difficult for a 5 year old like the addition questions, but I know if we keep working at it together he will be adding in no time. I have been waiting for a gaming system for smaller children for a long time because he gets so sad when he can't play the games the older boys do, LeapFrog did not disappoint. He loves playing several different games and has explored using the "eye" and transforming the remote. My older boys 9 & 12 love to play along with him. I would highly recommend this system. We were sent the LeapTV to review, however all opinions are my own!

So Much Fun!!

This gaming system is wonderful. It is fun, interactive, keeps kids moving, thinking and having fun! We love the fun games, and the chunky remotes that are easy for the kids to hold. This game is perfect for any kid, although it does say between the ages of 3-8! My daughter even thought it was fun and she is 11! I love that the disk for the game aren't CD so they won't get scratched!!
One of the features my kids liked the most was the camera feature where they could see themselves on the screen. They were laughing and having so much fun playing goalie during the Soccer game, and gathering as much Gold de Bloom in the Jake and the Never Land Pirate game! This game is going to be so much nicer for my 3 year old because he can actually play it, and not throw a fit and throw the remote when he can't do it! All the instructions are vocal so they can understand what they need to do to get the games started!
This system is a great deal for the price. The only thing I did notice was the camera quality was just fine, great enough to see themselves on it, but not like super amazing. For sure not something that would deter me from buying it

LeapTV might be our favorite LeapFrog product yet. This system offers so much and my 6-year old laughed hysterically every time he appeared on TV in the game. What a fun product! Can't wait to get more games!

Perfect first game console for any young kid!

Thank you LeapFrog for providing me with a LeapTV, free of charge, for review. These are my own honest opinions.
My son has never really caught on with the mainstream video game consoles that are on the market. We’ve tried a couple, even ones with motion controllers and ones with a camera. He just couldn’t catch on. When LeapFrog approached me about reviewing the LeapTV, I thought since it’s LeapFrog, surely this is a video game console Davey can use! LeapFrog has done it again, creating an amazing video game system, specially designed for young kids. My son caught on so quickly with this system and has had so much fun with it!
Our LeapTV for review was pre-loaded with most of the available LeapTV games. My son was so excited to see a racing game and a dancing game! Some games are more classic, played with the controller’s joystick and buttons. Other games are played with the motion of the controller. Other games are played with a camera, not using the controller at all. It seems like LeapFrog took a little bit from each main gaming console out there, and put it all together in a format that is appropriate for little kids.
I am very impressed with the LeapTV. I was surprised at how quickly my son caught on with it, when he had so much trouble with other gaming systems. The LeapTV Games give the child simple instructions on how to play, that even younger children can understand and play. My son was playing all of these games and doing quite well with them with just a little practice! He does tend to stand too close to the TV on the camera-enabled games, but the LeapTV games still work well even when he is standing too close, unlike other camera-enabled systems we’ve tried.
If you’re looking for the perfect holiday present for your young child, ages 3-8, then definitely check out the LeapTV!

My Son Read His First Words!

I absolutely love the LeapTV. I was a little bit leery at the idea of introducing my preschooler to a gaming system. All of that changed when my four year old son read his first words while playing the Spiderman game!
This system is packed full of education and fun. Keeping kids active, learning patterns, shapes, numbers, letters...its all here.
The system is small, compact and a great value. If you are considering any gaming system for a young child, this is the one to buy.

Instant Classic

LeapFrog products are HUGE in our home and really the only electronic games that I let my littles play, so of course when we were offered an opportunity to get a complimentary LeapTV for review purposes, I jumped at the chance. This is a great addition to the LeapFrog family of products and quite frankly I wonder what took so long because it’s seems like an instant classic.
The game system is easy to set up and small, which is great because we just leave it set up on the TV and it is very unobtrusive. The controllers (we were sent two, the system comes with one) are a great size for little hands and they sort of morph from a v-shape to a stick shape with the press of a button. This was all figured out by my 6 year old before I even laid hands on them.
The games are educational like all LeapFrog games and they have the added bonus of encouraging movement. Some games require body motion where all you are using is your body and no control; some games are played with the classic control and some with the controller turned into a stick for pointer play.
I have a 3 year old and a 6 year old, the game system is designed for children between the ages of 3 to 8 years old. I will tell you that my 6 year old LOVES it, she can’t get enough of it and her favorite games thus far are the Ultimate Spiderman and Jake and The Neverland Pirates. My 3 year old is interested, but I can tell she has to grow into it a bit.
I would say that we had some issues figuring out how to use the controllers and by “we” I mean the adults in the home, the kids seem to know how to use them just fine.

One thing I really love about this system is that I KNOW I will not have any issues with any of the LeapFrog games and that they will all be kid appropriate and have an educational component to them. Plus it’s hilarious to watch my kids jumping around while playing some of the games.

LeapTV - Best Thing Since The Letter Factory

I've been a long time LeapFrog fan, since my son learned his letters and sounds with The Letter Factory 9 years ago. I'm a kindergarten teacher and a mother of 2, so I buy lots of their products. LeapTV is HANDS DOWN one of the best things they have come out with, second only to The Letter Factory. It may actually pass The Letter Factory (in my book) if the developers would come out with a Letter Factory game to go along with it.
It has motion sensors and also a controller (stick type thing). It is SO cool. The kids play games that they are totally loving, and then all of a sudden it has them get more power by finding all of the capital letters or solving math problems. I LOVE IT! This is really brilliant. It's active, kids are moving, their minds are working, and the learning is embedded right into their gaming. We have 3 other big name game systems and this one is the only one that is really meant for KIDS.
