The online is trash! the host gets way to much power u cant even kill him. The campaign is fun but is quick.. DONT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!! If u buy this u will hate getting killed by grenades planted on the wall and mortars from the sky

its good on live i havent played story yet tho but its fun on live with lots of cool things it talks alot of bullets tho iam like wth i just shot him but now hes cuting me in half lolololololol
What's great about it: good grafics fun
What's not so great: takes alot of bullets to kill in live

I had a huge hype for this game since Epic promised a bigger, more epic sequel.This is partially true.The campaign is great, even amazing at times, and is even better with a partner.The scenery is definitely bigger and you will be fighting more locust than usual thanks to the engine upgrade. However, the multiplayer is just disappointing. Unless your host, which is random now, every game contains lag and at times its just incredible.Also the matchmaking is broken and breaks you with your party every now and then. It takes ages to join a match by yourself as well. Unless you like games with unpredictable lag, I recommend passing on this and getting World at War or Halo 3 if you haven't yet.
What's great about it: Great Graphics,Campaign is really fun and is even better with co op.
What's not so great: Extremely laggy online, Matchmaking is broken and takes way too long, Host is still here and it's even worse now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For starters Gears of War 1 was a classic. In this game you cannot find a match ever and in Gears 1 you can search a certain number of rounds and just hop into a game quick and easy. This campaign is better than Gears1 but the multiplayer is extremely bad. About a third if not more of the multiplayer matches that you will get into there will be a lot of lag. The graphics are very good. The problem is that Gears1 was a smaller project and they had no idea how big it was going to be. It was a huge hit so they tried to overdo Gears2 so much. The chainsaw is overpowering and one shot will not put down someones rev. If you are new to the Gears series i recommend you get Gears1 first then rent Gears2.
What's great about it: the campaign is amazing.
What's not so great: multiplayer has much lag and you cannot find a match.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love chainsaw duels even though they are extremelly rare, new story but still hating online.
What's great about it: Still fun new guns and story line
What's not so great: Online some people never die.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horde Mode is very fun in this game, when playing with your friends. Matchmaking is a little junk though...Campaign is just another campaign like Halo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well people who don't like shooters and didn't like the first game won't like this one ... for everyone else get ready for lots of fun hours:) ... i heard that this one is gona be even more brutal then the previous one so that is a plus to me... and mulit player co-op is expanded to i think 7 players !
If you are gamer this is a must have
What's great about it: All new features
What's not so great: hope to have none
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am a large GOW fan, but I don't recommend you buying this. There is no guest feature for Live, which the original GOW had and it takes forever to find a match. GOW2 does a have a great storyline and better graphics than its predecessor but I returned it- don't buy it unless you're a GOW freak.
What's great about it: The storyline.
What's not so great: Xbox Live.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
