stainless finish slowly disappearing

I bought in April 2010 the 29' Samsung French door Stainless steel refrigerator. Now, after just 2 years, as soon as it came out of warranty (interesting timing), the 'stainless steel' finish is slowly disappearing, irregular areas, including one large one in a very visible area...
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of problems

We bought this fridge 2 years ago hoping it would last us a long time. We have now been through 5 fridge door shelves, and the flip down shelf next to the ice maker has been replaced (both hinges cracked). The plastic used just can't seem to handle being cold. We have also had problems with it freezing food no matter how much or little was in the fridge. We have had to turn it up to 40 degrees to stop the freezing, which is not normal. The service techs all seem to think this is normal, and it is not. 40 degrees in a fridge just isn't right. We are now having problems with the freezer door not sealing properly on the left side and the lower refrigerator door hinges are rusting. Yes, rust on a stainless refrigerator. For the amount of money this thing cost, these are all issues we should not be having.
Pros: it's pretty
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

The ice maker has been a continuing problem since we bought the unit. Ice ejection is very loud & the amount of ice produced is very low. The refrigerator itself we have been very happy with.
