This refrigerator has a lot of room but does take a little to get used to as to where put different containers and pitchers. The only problem I have had was sometime that ice buttons stick but no problem getting it back to work. Also the only feature I would don't like is that BOTH doors have to be closed in order to get the icemaker to dispense. Overall the quality is excellent and is well-built. Holds a lot of food for the footprint it requires! Also love the lighting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Fridge at a discounted price

We found this model at as a return at Sears and couldn't pass up the price. We've had this fridge for 8 months now and it has been a great purchase as a fridge goes. The ice maker is a huge disappointment though. After 2 people get ice, it is done for 4 hours before it drops enough cubes to fill another glass. So much for cold drinks when the family comes over... Also, the shelves, though spill proof, doesn't mean they are sealed. Soy sauce, fruit punch, etc. goes right between the glass and plastic and pulling this thing apart for cleaning is no easy task. Other than those 2 major design flaws, the fridge functions perfectly, nice and quiet, freezer is easy to access, sips electricity for as big as it is, dual zones are great, and the space inside is awesome. Just that space in the upper corner taken up by the ice maker would be better suited as fridge space over the well underperforming ice maker.

How can you be in your 70's and still be amazed by these new fangled contraptions. When we put Mr. Huge in our kitchen I couldn't believe all it took into it's inards. i emptied a side-by-side frig and a small chest freezer into those drawers and still had room for more. I would have to say it's energy efficient, I was able to shut off the old freezer. I have enjoyed all the frig's drawers an innovative features it presents. After a year of use I could never look back. I would advise all growing families to invest in this French Door beauty.

Wow! I'm not big on appliances but we've definitely made the right choice with this one. Plenty of space for all food items(sizes and shapes). The dual ice maker is a major benefit. I always heard that stainless steel is a drag to keep clean. We used Pledge (yes, the wood cleaner product) and it works well. NOTE: spray it on the cloth and not directly on the refrigerator. The ice maker is a little noisy when the ice drops but nothing to complain about. This is our first Samsung appliance and we are quite happy with it.

Great Purchase for the size

This is a great Refrigerator for the size and all the great features...the only thing is the ice maker...the last refrigerator was not nearly this big (it was a Samsung 26.0 cubit, we had a house fire so it melted) and yet it made more ice than this one..and it didn't make so much noise while it was getting ready to dispense the ice into the ice bucket...so that would be the main thing that Samsung would need to look at for this Model..

This Beast is a Beauty! So big but so efficient!

We've owned this fridge for a year now and I'm still in love with it. Yes, the ice dropping in the bucket is loud, but we honestly don't notice it unless the bucket is completely empty. The filters are expensive, so we run it thru our R/O unit that services all our drinking water - problem solved! It is huge!! Remember having to 'clean out' the fridge a week before Thanksgiving to make room for the turkey and everything else - forget it. We had a 27lb turkey thawing for a couple of days, and kept adding pre-cooked sides--the potatoes, the stuffings, the deserts!! And we still ate normal meals in the days before The Feast. Now that's space.
My son and his friends have tested the water/ice dispenser. I'm glad that 'making it beep' no longer thrills them. They've found to make Mom happy, simply hold the glass under for the extra nano-second to catch the last drip of water...no more hard water stains on the lovely stainless drip tray. Another issue solved.
Love it !
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, fits into 'normal fridge' slot
Cons: filters are expensive

Nice fridge BUT....around midnight I heard the water kick in to fill the ice trays but it continued to run for a long amount of time. I got up from bed to check it out and didn't notice a large amount of water on my kitchen floor, only a few small puddles. When I opened the doors a small tidal wave came out of the fridge and flooded my kitchen. After rushing to pull the fridge out of the hole and climb behind to get the water turned off I began the clean up using just about every towel in my house. After a few hours and making some headway I went to dry out the fridge. I pulled out the freezer drawer and then came another small tidal wave and I had to start all over. All of this happened because the water filter had popped off. There needs to be some sort of safety that will not allow this to happen.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not so happy after a year....

This design is great if you don't use the left door much. :) The features and interior refrigerator space are great. Still not sure about the bottom drawer freezer - if it is not fully stocked, then it is okay...if it is fully stocked, not so hot. The left door has been a problem for the past few months - the hinge broke preventing it from closing properly - which led to a broken "pin" at the top of the flap. All was covered by warranty and replaced. But now, a little over 3 months later, the hinge has broken again and it is not under warranty, so, I'll purchase the part and replace it. Also, the gasket on the left door (for the ice chute) does not fit properly anymore therefore preventing the ice from falling at times - until the door is opened then the ice falls on the floor. That too needs to be replaced. I know these are relatively minor things to replace unless it is going to be a habit, which it appears to be turning into such. I do not think this is suitable for as much as this appliance cost. I am sorry I purchased this model - next time I will purchase a side-by-side instead...and it will probably not be a Samsung product...had issues with Samsung microwave as well.
