Loving my new controller

I wanted to get a dual shock controller anyway but last week my other six axis battery died so I was forced to. After one week I'm very happy with this one. My advice to everyone is buy the service plan when you buy a controller my old six axis controller cost me $60 when I bought it and it lasted less than 18 months. I payed $9.99 for a 3 year service plan when I bought my dual shock so if it goes out I'll get a new free. A well spent ten bucks if it happens.
What's great about it: Seems more durable and slightly bigger than normal six axis model
What's not so great: no cord comes with a $50+ controller !?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth the upgrade from the controller you probably got with the ps3. It feels better in your hands, and is heavier and doesnt feel like a small piece of plastic.
What's great about it: Feel, Bigger then previous controller, design
What's not so great: nothing so far.

its ok but some people might not want the dualshock they should have keeped makeing the controllers then first made the ps3

This is the best controller for the PS3. I have triend other brands such as "MAD CATZ" "LOGITECH" and others. The "SONY" brand is the perfect fit for the SONY PS3. It is not very cost eficient, and this is why some resort to the other brand names. I would definately recomment this controller because the others become annoying. Even though the price is hefty, the off brands tend to break easier and not function as well. Another great feature is that is carries an internal batterie and you no longer have to worry about changing batteries. Over-All I feel this is the best bang for your buck but the only downfall is the buck is a little high.
What's great about it: Weight, Easy to charge, simple design
What's not so great: Not very cost eficient
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sony Dual Shock 3 controller. The newest addition to the Sony collection. It has many features to offer. What I love about the controller is that its wireless. No, more tangles or tripping over cords. Also the charge ability. Once the controller is charge it last for a great deal of time. For me personally weeks on end Also the six axis feature is awesome. Its like a steering an invisible wheel. Then you can play from a long distance. Being able to access the menu and turn the PlayStation off form the controller as well. Check it out.
What's great about it: Its Wireless

"I have this controller that came with my PS3. I am glad it has the rumble feature, and it is especially nice to be able to turn the PS3 on and off with a button on the controller. I played on the PS2 for years with a wireless Pelican controller, but it never had the great feel and comfort of the Sony controller. The battery life is great. I play for hours at a time, and don't have to charge it very often. The only downside is that you have to have the PS3 on to charge it. I will be getting a wall charger to avoid this. I would like to buy another one so that while one is charging I can still pay without a cord hanging down in front of the TV (my PS3 is on top of my TV) while the controller is charging. The only thing that holds me back is the price. The best Sony controller so far."
What's great about it: An official Sony wireless controller, feel, charge life, PS3 power button
What's not so great: Nothing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The addition of a vibration feature only makes the PS3 more competitive with other other rival consoles. This is an addition that should have been availble upon the PS3's market arrival. That being said, I love the vibration addition as I have a PS2 and was use to a vibrating controller. I bought my PS3 where a SIXAXIS controller was included with no vibration feature. This style of play took some getting use to. I was very releaved when the Dual Shock 3 was made available to consumers.The design of the controller is basically the same as the controllers from previous generations of playstations. The design is a good design and thus the few changes made to the Dual Shock 3.
The vibration feature of the Dual Shock 3 works very well. My only gripe is that the vibrations could be a little stronger. I think there is some conservation of vibration to prevent quick depletion of the battery. I would recommend this controller to anyone.
What's great about it: SIXAXIS with Vibration
What's not so great: nothing
