Awesome size

I've had this for a month now. It's in an insulated garage, which is a good thing. When it's running, it's rather loud. I keep mine at -10, so it tends to run a lot (saw this on other reviews as well). I wouldn't want this in a room which was used quite often.
I can't say enough about the storage capacity. There is plenty of space to organize almost anything. I ordered the two additional door shelves (you can't order on line, have to call and special order - they weren't expensive; in my opinion they should come with the freezer). They have a pizza shelf (in the picture, it hangs from the top shelf). I put some heavier items in it, and it started to sag. Can't hold much weight. I removed and ordered another drawer, which holds much more (I put veggies in that drawer).
I really like knowing the internal temperature! That's always been an issue with my older one (14 years), is that you never knew.
While it has an ice cream compartment, for me it's wasted space (no biggie).

Improvements Needed

Nice freezer, and it replaces an older Frigidaire which quit. Like others, I find the door organization less flexible than previous models. I had to purchase another plastic bin to match the 3 that came on the door. That was annoying. It is large, but moves rather easily. I have to hold the frame when opening the door to keep it from sliding. Hope it lasts as long as the one it replaced.

Hey Kim, we appreciate you taking the time to share your freezer review. I understand that your freezer is moving when you are opening the door. A trick that might help, is to place your hand at the top of the door with your fingertips at the gasket. Carefully slide you fingers between the gasket and the freezer frame pulling back the gasket, this will break the air tight seal and allow the door to open easily. Hope this helps!

Great Buy

This freezer has been an excellent purchase for my family. I am confident in the sealing every time I close the door because I can hear it. That assures me that my frozen food will remain frozen. I love the fact that there is so much room in the freezer, it really holds a lot.

Spacious, quiet, convenient, in a word -- perfect

Replaced an upright freezer which "died" right before Christmas. Did a lot of research, and picked this one. I am so glad! The delivery was on time, the explanation of features excellent, and the performance outstanding. It is such a pleasure to have room to segment the frozen categories -- all vegetables "here", all breadstuffs in the bottom bin, all small items -- yeast, flax seed, wheat germ, etc. in the door, along with other essentials of life, e.g., vodka (for making pie crusts, of course). And checking electrical consumption, this one beats the pants off the old one, which was smaller. I especially like that this one is the best for using daily, because that is the way I use the freezer. Thanks, Frigidaire!

The freezer was purchased for it's ability to achieve and maintain a low freezing point. Wish the front display worked better and it maintained temperature better, but it works for what we need it for.
