We had some breaker flip a few times due to another Fridgerator going out and the Freezer kept the items Frozen much longer than our last OLD Freezer did. We are pleased with this purchase almost bought one just like it to use a refrigerator outside. but went with a smaller one. its great Great price

Love the size and capabilities of this freezer. One issue is the soft freeze door compartment has magnets to hold the door closed. The magnets apparently are NOT energized as they do nothing and the door just swings open. I am at a loss as to what it is I am supposed to do to make this feature - soft freeze door - operate properly. Can't find any help in the supplied literature or online. A little assistance regarding this would be appreciated.

Just the right amount of space we need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few months ago to replace a 30 year old chest freezer. Believe me when I say it is soooo nice to have every item at an easy reach, easy to see and easy to find. No more moving bags and boxes around to find something. And no more finding a package of meat, poultry, etc that is 2 or 3 years old.
I love the snap in door shelves so much I ordered 3 more. They are great for storing freezer jam, treats, cold packs, etc
Also appreciated is the tightness of the door. Just remember to grab the handle at least half way down it's length and you will be able to easily open the door. For me the tight fit means an excellent seal and no wasted energy.
Another added feature is the outer door temperature gauge. Let's you know the inside temperature of the freezer so you don't have to open the door and lose cold or waste energy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the freezer about a month. Bought this larger model to replace a freezer we'd had about 15 years. The door has a TIGHT seal. Love the door thermometer. Really appreciated the "quick freeze" option when the freezer arrived as our other freezer's temp was rapidly rising & we didn't want to lose anything. Like the pullout baskets, making it easier to see what's in the back. Don't think I'd put anything too heavy in them though. Time will tell. Pleased with the purchase.
