Frigidaire Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a Frigidaire 21.3 cu. in. frost-free freezer to replace a 1974 Frigidaire 21.5 cu. in. frost model that still works fine for energy efficiency purposes. The new one has some storage improvements, but the plastic shelves should be stronger (aluminum like in the old freezer) so they do not warp from food weight.

Very bright and user friendly

Very well lit... which was a added bonus I wasn’t expecting. And the temp adjustments on the outside of the door.... fabulous!! Thank you for designing a user friendly freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One big problem. I really like this upright freezer except for one issue. It has great space and features, but ice/frost collects along the top inside of it. I have to chip off the ice about once a week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yikes! PhilNola, the only thing that can cause frost buildup inside a freezer is warm moist air. Possible reasons for warm air include a door not closing fully, large amounts of warm or hot food have been stored recently, the weather is hot and humid, and the door gasket is not sealing properly. Ensure your freezer is level, page 4 in your Owner’s Manual has leveling instructions. Please check that your gaskets are in contact all the way around the door by inserting a dollar bill between the frame and the gasket. If you encounter a bit of resistance when pulling it out, then you have a good seal. Check the gasket seal all the way around the door. Best freezer I have ever had.

Adjustable door shelves

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a month ago to replace an older model that was failing. I like that this model has the baskets for those items that don't stack neatly. And the door shelves are adjustable.

Keeps all items frozen just the way we like Spacious, bright (inside & out) and keeps everything frozen just the way we like them, especially the ice cream whether inside the special soft section or on other shelves. Digital temperature control makes it very easy & convenient.
